The couple <a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/music\/news\/diddy-arrest-children-jail-charges-b2618068.html#comments-area\">had three children together<\/a> \u2013 Christian, 26, and twins Jessie and D\u2019Lila, 17 \u2013 and Diddy also adopted Porter\u2019s eldest son Quincy.<\/p>\n<p>Porter died from lobar pneumonia in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Almost immediately after her death, rumors began to circulate.<\/p>\n<p>Then, earlier this month, a book alleged to be Porter\u2019s memoir was released on Amazon. <em>KIM\u2019S LOST WORDS: A journey for justice, from the other side&#8230;<\/em> details allegations that Diddy assaulted Porter, sparking rumors that her death was foul play.<\/p>\n<p>The book was self-published by Chris Todd \u2013 real name Todd Christopher Guzze \u2013 who claims to have worked on and solved some of the biggest high-profile murder investigations over the years, including Nicole Brown Simpson and the Zodiac Killer, according to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/sean-diddy-combs-ex-kim-porter-memoir-book-interview-author-1235106020\/\"><em>Rolling Stone<\/em>. <\/a>He claims the memoir is Porter\u2019s and that he got his hands on it when he received a flash drive from two \u201cmusic industry\u201d sources.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sc-482ou5-2 eOHevC image align-left\">\n<figure class=\"sc-1cbdeug-0 cpcmmN\">\n<div data-gallery-length=\"4\" class=\"sc-482ou5-0 dIiUne\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.independent.co.uk\/2024\/09\/25\/10\/newFile-3.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.independent.co.uk\/2024\/09\/25\/10\/newFile-3.jpg?quality=75&amp;width=320&amp;auto=webp 320w, https:\/\/static.independent.co.uk\/2024\/09\/25\/10\/newFile-3.jpg?quality=75&amp;width=640&amp;auto=webp 640w\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Kim Porter and Diddy dated on and off from the 1990s to 2007, during which time she gave birth to three of his seven children (pictured at the 2005 Annual Academy Awards)\" class=\"sc-1mc30lb-0 iSVhwZ inline-gallery-btn\" on=\"tap:auto-image-gallery,inline-image-carousel.goToSlide(index=1)\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\" data-gallery-length=\"4\"\/><\/div><figcaption class=\"sc-1cbdeug-1 sc-1cbdeug-3 hiCdLa liXvvg\">Kim Porter and Diddy dated on and off from the 1990s to 2007, during which time she gave birth to three of his seven children (pictured at the 2005 Annual Academy Awards)<span class=\"sc-1cbdeug-7 izyooE\"> <!-- -->(<!-- -->Carlo Allegri\/Getty Images<!-- -->)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Todd admitted that to the outlet that he doesn\u2019t know if the memoir is real or not. \u201cIf somebody put my feet to the fire and they said, \u2018Life or death, is that book real?\u2019 I have to say I don\u2019t know. But it\u2019s real enough to me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In the lengthy Instagram statement, Quincy, on behalf of his siblings, called the claims that his mother wrote a book \u201csimply untrue,\u201d adding that anyone saying they have a manuscript is \u201cmisrepresenting themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdditionally, please understand that any so-called \u2018friend\u2019 speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend, nor do they have her best interests at heart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The singer said his family\u2019s lives were \u201cshattered\u201d when their mom died at the age of just 47. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was our world, and nothing has been the same since she passed. While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was no foul play.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGrief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace as we continue to cope with her loss every day.
