The Meta CEO is the fourth richest person in the<strong> <\/strong>world, joining an elusive $200 billion club that only counts three other members.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1m9wzge000f3b6mdl0sogs8@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Tesla and X CEO Elon Musk ($272 billion); Bezos ($211 billion), the founder of Amazon; and Arnault ($207 billion), the CEO of luxury brand LVMH, are the only people ahead of Zuckerberg.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1m9s900000d3b6maovlyzx8@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Zuckerberg, 40, who launched Facebook in 2004, has much of his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/02\/02\/business\/meta-stock-surge-mark-zuckerberg\/index.html\">wealth tied to Meta Platforms stock<\/a>. Shares of Meta (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/markets\/stocks\/META\">META<\/a>) have surged by nearly 64% in 2024. On Wednesday, Meta shares gained 0.9% to close at a record high of $568.31. Meta shares dipped to $567.36 on Friday.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1maar8i000q3b6mnafemdk4@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Meta operates popular social media platforms Facebook, Instagram and Threads, as well as instant messaging app WhatsApp.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1mazu9i00113b6md6tacf79@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Speaking on Wednesday at the Meta Connect 2024 event, Zuckerberg said Meta AI is on track to become the most used assistant in the world.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1mb05pg00153b6mawkiq39i@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cWe\u2019re almost at 500 million monthly (active users), and we haven\u2019t even launched in some of the bigger countries yet,\u201d Zuckerberg said, referring to countries in the European Union.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1ma6qgv000n3b6m1ewijq11@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Zuckerberg isn\u2019t the only tech mogul to see a big jump in their fortune this year.
