US rock band Cage the Elephant will support across all dates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">The dates will be Oasis\u2019s first in those territories since 2008, when they toured Dig Out Your Soul. The band\u2019s first American tour for Definitely Maybe from 1994-95 remains infamous: after an inebriated, messy gig at Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles, Noel Gallagher left the band for several days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">The international dates come in addition to the 19 sold-out UK and Ireland dates already announced, which include five additional dates to the original total of 14.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">After the initial sale in August left many fans without a ticket \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/article\/2024\/aug\/31\/oasis-reunion-tickets-technical-issues\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">after hours of technical issues<\/a> and queuing frustrations \u2013 the band added two new shows at Wembley Stadium to be sold through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/article\/2024\/sep\/04\/oasis-adds-two-wembley-dates-staggered-invitation-only-ballot\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">a staggered invitation-only ballot<\/a>, with fans who were unsuccessful in the initial sale first to be given access.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">It remains to be seen whether the international dates will be subject to Ticketmaster\u2019s dynamic pricing policy, which saw <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/article\/2024\/sep\/01\/oasis-ticketmaster-in-demand-standing-tickets\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">\u00a3135 standing tickets hiked to \u00a3337.50<\/a> plus fees owing to demand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">In a statement, the band said they had been unaware that dynamic pricing would be used in the sale.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">\u201cInevitably interest in this tour is so overwhelming that it\u2019s impossible to schedule enough shows to fulfil public demand,\u201d they said. \u201cAs for the well-reported complaints many buyers had over the operation of Ticketmaster\u2019s dynamic ticketing: it needs to be made clear that Oasis leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"d4cb3dc3-9828-44d6-b035-5ca896f625f0\" data-spacefinder-role=\"richLink\" data-spacefinder-type=\"model.dotcomrendering.pageElements.RichLinkBlockElement\" class=\" dcr-1your1i\"><gu-island name=\"RichLinkComponent\" priority=\"feature\" deferuntil=\"idle\" props=\"{&quot;richLinkIndex&quot;:9,&quot;element&quot;:{&quot;_type&quot;:&quot;model.dotcomrendering.pageElements.RichLinkBlockElement&quot;,&quot;prefix&quot;:&quot;Related: &quot;,&quot;text&quot;:&quot;Oasis tickets: what is dynamic pricing and why is it used for live music?&quot;,&quot;elementId&quot;:&quot;d4cb3dc3-9828-44d6-b035-5ca896f625f0&quot;,&quot;role&quot;:&quot;richLink&quot;,&quot;url&quot;:&quot;https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/article\/2024\/sep\/01\/oasis-tickets-dynamic-pricing-live-music&quot;},&quot;ajaxUrl&quot;:&quot;https:\/\/api.nextgen.guardianapps.co.uk&quot;,&quot;format&quot;:{&quot;display&quot;:0,&quot;theme&quot;:3,&quot;design&quot;:0}}\"\/><\/figure>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">In the wake of the ticketing fiasco, the government announced that it would include dynamic pricing in a review of ticketing promised in its election manifesto. Consumer law experts added that while the practice was not illegal, Ticketmaster <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/article\/2024\/sep\/02\/failure-to-warn-oasis-fans-of-dynamic-pricing-may-be-consumer-law-breach-say-experts\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">may have breached consumer regulations<\/a> if the potential price increase on basic standing tickets was not made clear to fans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">The consumer group Which? urged the band and Ticketmaster <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/business\/article\/2024\/sep\/10\/oasis-ticketmaster-urged-to-refund-fans-dynamic-pricing-debacle\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">to refund fans who paid inflated prices<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-106f06m\">Ticketmaster does not set ticket prices and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/article\/2024\/sep\/01\/bands-urged-to-oppose-dynamic-pricing-of-concert-tickets-after-oasis-fiasco\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">has argued<\/a> that dynamic pricing discourages ticket touts by aligning prices with market value.
