After raging floodwaters gushed through the city, the village is left reeling with what is left.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><strong>CHIMNEY ROCK, N.C.<\/strong> \u2013 Days after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/flood\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flooding<\/a> devastated areas of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/local-weather\/north-carolina\/chimney-rock\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chimney Rock<\/a>, North Carolina, residents are returning to see the new unimaginable.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Debris is scattered throughout the village. The video of the aftermath shows large decks floating in the river, chunks of trees lying idle, and people\u2019s valuables littered everywhere.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The aftermath of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/helene\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Helene<\/a>\u2019s raging floods decimated the town on Thursday and Friday.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/video-chimney-rock-destroyed-helene-flooding-north-carolina\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>CHIMNEY ROCK COMPLETELY DESTROYED AS HELENE UNLEASHES CATASTROPHIC FLOODING ACROSS NORTH CAROLINA<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Video immediately following the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/flood\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flooding<\/a> showed the Broad River swelling and inundating the village.<\/p>\n<div class=\"featured featured-video video-ct\">\n<div class=\"video-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"info\">\n<div class=\"caption\">\n<p class=\"sub-text\">Hurricane Helene has brought days of rain to western North Carolina, which has caused complete devastation in areas like Chimney Rock.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The horrific scenes left the town cut off as roads were impassable. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">When Charlotte City Councilman Tariq Bokhari finally reached the area, he saw Chimney Rock and the Lake Lure area ravaged by Helene\u2019s floodwaters and described the scene as unworldly.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/extreme-weather\/death-north-carolina-helene-flooding-cell-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>NORTH CAROLINA CELL SERVICE OUTAGE FRUSTRATES STRANDED RESIDENTS AFTER DEADLY HELENE FLOODING<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;Went to help in the Lake Lure\/Chimney Rock area today, and it\u2019s hard to describe \u2013 never seen anything like this.
