He added that one of the individuals claimed he was just nine years old at the time of his assault.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis type of sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation should never happen in the United States or anywhere else,\u201d Buzbee said at a news conference. \u201cThis should have never been allowed to go on for so long. This conduct has created a mass of individuals who are injured, scared and scarred.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3182963\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3182963\" style=\"width:770px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-arc-image-770 wp-image-3182963\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/AP24255764516185-1726541560.jpg?w=770&amp;resize=770%2C513\" alt=\"Combs\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3182963\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sean \u2018Diddy\u2019 Combs was arrested in September after he was indicted on sex trafficking and racketeering charges [File: Willy Sanjuan\/Invision via AP Photo]<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Following the announcement in Texas, a lawyer for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2024\/3\/26\/federal-agents-raid-sean-diddy-combs-homes-in-sex-trafficking-probe\">Combs<\/a>, Erica Wolff, said the performer \u201dcannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat said, Mr Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors,\u201d Wolff added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"some-cases-passed-to-fbi\">Some cases passed to FBI<\/h2>\n<p>Buzbee said more than 3,280 individuals contacted his firm and alleged they were assaulted in different ways by Combs.<\/p>\n<p>After vetting the allegations, Buzbee explained his firm decided to represent 120 people.<\/p>\n<p>Other cases are still being reviewed. He said some of his clients have spoken with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).<\/p>\n<p>The individuals that Buzbee\u2019s firm is representing are from more than 25 states, with the majority from California, New York, Georgia and Florida.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged abuse took place mostly at parties held in New York, California and Florida where individuals were given drinks that were laced with drugs, Buzbee said.<\/p>\n<p>Other instances reportedly unfolded at auditions where \u201cmany times \u2013 especially young people, people wanting to break into the industry \u2013 were coerced into this type of conduct in the promise of being made a star\u201d, Buzbee said.<\/p>\n<h3>\u2018Wall of silence has now been broken\u2019<\/h3>\n<p>Last month, Combs, 54, was arrested at a hotel in New York City after a grand jury indicted him on sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution.<\/p>\n<p>The charges against him were initially sealed, but the 14-page indictment was ultimately released on September 17, when Combs pleaded not guilty in a federal court in New York City.<\/p>\n<p>Combs is one of the best-known music executives, producers and performers in hip-hop, having won three Grammys and worked with artists across the musical spectrum.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe biggest secret in the entertainment industry, that really wasn\u2019t a secret at all, has finally been revealed to the world,\u201d Buzbee said on Tuesday. \u201cThe wall of silence has now been broken.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Buzbee has also represented women who accused National Football League (NFL) quarterback Deshaun Watson of sexual assault and misconduct.<\/p>\n<p>The lawyer said he planned to identify more suspects, \u201cother than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2024\/9\/17\/us-rapper-sean-diddy-combs-arrested-in-new-york\">Sean Combs<\/a>\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe names that we\u2019re going to name, assuming our investigators confirm and corroborate what we\u2019ve been told, are names that will shock you,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m talking here about not just the cowardly but complicit bystanders.
