In severe cases, it may lead to life-threatening anaphylaxis, <a href=\"https:\/\/my.clevelandclinic.org\/health\/diseases\/mast-cell-activation-syndrome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">per ClevelandClinic<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Thus any men looking to kiss Quinn need to follow three rules. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cRule No. 1 is that they can\u2019t have any of my six main anaphylactic allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, kiwi, mustard or seafood) within 24 hours of kissing me,\u201d Quinn <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@carolinecray2\/video\/7383830964922879274?_t=8qCvWoqQ5E6&amp;_r=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">explained to more than 1.7 million TikTok viewers<\/a> in a viral vid.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Quinn spelled out the three main musts that daters have to agree to before stealing a kiss.  <span class=\"credit\">Jam Press Vid\/@carolinecray2<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe second rule is that they can\u2019t eat anything three hours prior to kissing me,\u201d the cautious kisser continued in the clip. \u201cRule No. 3 is that they have to brush their teeth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Should a prospective paramour fail to meet those prerequisites prior to puckering up, the consequences could be deadly for the blonde.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The Zommer says she\u2019s dealt with flushing after kissing a guy who ultimately triggered her allergies.  <span class=\"credit\">Jam Press\/@carolinecray2<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Quinn has had to be hospitalized due to the graveness of her condition.  <span class=\"credit\">Jam Press\/@carolinecray2<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The Bostonian can experience anaphylaxis at any time due to her many allergens.    <span class=\"credit\">Jam Press\/@carolinecray2<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>And, sadly, she\u2019s not alone.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Roughly one in six people, including the A-list likes of singers Billie Eilish and Halsey, are diagnosed with a form of mast cell disease, with MCAS being the most common, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eds.clinic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to the Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) Clinic<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Natasha Coates, 27, a UK gymnast stricken with the disease, is <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/07\/04\/woman-allergic-to-everything-even-laughter\/\">severely allergic to \u201cstrong emotions.\u201d<\/a> Bouts of laughter, sadness or stress could trigger a fatal chemical reaction.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Coates, who, like Quinn, has shared the harrowing details of her health struggles online, revealed she planned her own funeral at age 20 due to the seriousness of her sickness.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Rather than restricting herself to a life of limited love, Quinn cautiously kisses guys who met her strict standards.   <span class=\"credit\">Jam Press\/@carolinecray2<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Quinn, however, has made it her mission to focus on living a \u201cfull and happy\u201d life, rather than preparing for death since being diagnosed with MCAS in 2017, she tells NeedToKnow.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got sick with MCAS in September of 2017 after one true allergic reaction to cross-contamination with nuts spiraled into a series of anaphylactic episodes to foods I wasn\u2019t allergic to,\u201d said the survivor, who works as a healthcare recruiter.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy allergist at the time suspected it could be MCAS but needed me to see a specialist in order to get the proper diagnosis,\u201d she added. \u201cAfter a long wait list of eight months, I saw an MCAS specialist who officially diagnosed me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[The condition] presents in a lot of uncomfortable and life-threatening symptoms like difficulty breathing, swelling\/itchiness in throat and mouth, loss of consciousness, low blood pressure, and hives\/rashes,\u201d said Quinn. \u201cIn order to avoid MCAS flare-ups and MCAS symptoms, I avoid triggers like food, animal fur\/dander, mold, dust, heat, and certain smells.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-tiktok wp-block-embed-tiktok\"\/>\n<p>But when it comes to swapping spit, the sweetheart throws caution to the wind \u2014 kind of.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKissing boys is definitely a risk,\u201d she told TikTok watchers. \u201cIt invites potential instability into my life.
