This week the company has officially launched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/blog\/2024\/09\/30\/office-2024-for-consumers-available-october-1\/\">Microsoft Office 2024<\/a>, a new &#8220;locked-in-time&#8221; update to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other apps for people who don&#8217;t want the continuously developed Microsoft 365 versions.<\/p>\n<p>For end users, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/p\/office-home-2024\/cfq7ttc0pqvj\">Office Home 2024<\/a> gets you Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote for $149.99. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/p\/office-home-business-2024\/cfq7ttc0pbm7\">Office Home &amp; Business 2024<\/a> costs $249.99, which adds Outlook &#8220;and the rights to use the apps for commercial purposes.&#8221; Both licenses cover a single PC or Mac.<\/p>\n<p>New <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/enterprise\/microsoft-office-volume-licensing-suites-comparison\">Office Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) products<\/a> are also being released for businesses and other organizations; Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024 for Windows also includes the Access database management app. Project 2024 and Visio 2024 are also still being offered as standalone products.<\/p>\n<p>The new apps include most changes made <a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/gadgets\/2021\/09\/office-2021-will-be-available-for-non-microsoft-365-subscribers-on-october-5\/\">since Office 2021 was released three years ago<\/a>; Microsoft details those updates <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/what-s-new-in-office-2024-and-office-ltsc-2024-baadecbe-a8fc-4435-8cb8-70e93fd08b56#ID0EBF=Windows\">here<\/a> and on <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/ltsc\/2024\/overview\">its Learn documentation site<\/a>.
