But in the time since, Android 15 has been <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2024\/09\/03\/android-15-aosp\/\">released to AOSP<\/a> and is due to launch <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2024\/08\/26\/android-15-pixel-update-date\/\">on Pixel phones imminently<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Samsung, however, has reportedly been struggling with its Android 15 update, which comes with a <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2024\/08\/02\/samsung-one-ui-7-update-changelog-leak\/\">major revamp to the company\u2019s One UI skin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The first beta of One UI 7 was expected to launch <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2024\/07\/23\/samsung-android-15-beta-rumor\/\">as early as August,<\/a> but was <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2024\/08\/07\/samsung-android-15-update-delay\/\">reportedly delayed \u201cindefinitely\u201d due to various issues<\/a>. We hadn\u2019t heard much about the update for a while, but Samsung today confirmed that it will <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2024\/10\/03\/samsung-one-ui-7-beta-android-15-release-date\/\">release its Android 15 update in beta \u201cbefore the end of the year.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>But what about a full release?<\/p>\n<p>In Samsung\u2019s opening keynote for SDC 2024, the company confirmed that its Android 15 update won\u2019t fully release until 2025 on \u201cthe next Galaxy.\u201d <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The official version of One UI 7 with all of the game-changing AI features will be released next year with the next Galaxy S series.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In other words, we won\u2019t see this update until the Galaxy S25 launches, likely in mid-late January. That\u2019s a far cry from Samsung\u2019s late-October release for the first stable Android 14 build last year, and will likely mean Samsung Galaxy users will be waiting up to 4 months, or even more, for the latest version of Android to be delivered to existing devices.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/51h7_u0gGI0?t=3447\">In a preview of One UI 7<\/a>, Samsung explains its \u201cbrand new UX design\u201d which had \u201cthree goals\u201d in mind \u2013 \u201csimplicity with purpose,\u201d \u201cimpactful impression signature to Galaxy,\u201d and having a more \u201cemotional
