The Swannanoa connects to the French Broad, which runs along Asheville&#8217;s River Arts District and reached a flood stage of nearly 25 feet, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/extreme-weather\/helene-flooding-extremen-asheville\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">highest since Asheville measurements began in 1895<\/a>, according to the National Weather Service. The flooding was nearly 7 feet above the major flood stage.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/extreme-weather\/asheville-photographer-helene-aftermath\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Times Bar is raising money<\/a> for its employees impacted by the floods and others in Ashville\u2019s food and drink industry.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/north-carolina\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Carolina<\/a> has so far seen the most deaths from Helene, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/helene-north-carolina-tennessee-georgia-recovery-death-toll\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">with nearly 100 fatalities, and more than 60 deaths
