autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>His warm welcomes at MSG last season followed <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/03\/11\/big-east-tournament-patrick-ewing-furious-at-msg-security\/\">a controversial appearance in 2021<\/a>, when Ewing was coaching Georgetown in the Big East tournament and complained of being \u201caccosted\u201d by arena security who didn\u2019t recognize him. <\/p>\n<p>But owner James Dolan and Ewing spoke soon after the incident and \u201creaffirmed\u201d their \u201clongstanding relationship,\u201d a spokesperson said at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe New York Knicks and Patrick Ewing are synonymous with one another, and we are humbled and excited to bring Patrick back home,\u201d Knicks president Leon Rose said in Thursday\u2019s statement. \u201cA monumental figure in New York basketball lore, Patrick brings a wealth of knowledge from his time both on and off the court that is unmatched.
