Buildings were swept away. Some galleries no longer exist. Creative works \u2014 some birthed decades ago \u2014 have been damaged and destroyed. Mud reigns.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<aside class=\"css-ew4tgv\" aria-label=\"companion column\"\/><\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"companionColumn-1\">\n<div class=\"css-53u6y8\">\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">\u201cIt\u2019s heartbreaking,\u201d said Judi Jetson, founder and chair of <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/localcloth.wildapricot.org\/\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Local Cloth<\/a>, a nonprofit network of fiber artists, educators and enthusiasts. \u201cWe have three or four inches of mud inside the building and on most of our items. We\u2019re trying to rescue whatever we can and people will take it home and wash them.
