(WOWT) &#8211; Omaha Police have released a statement saying the the driver of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wowt.com\/2024\/10\/01\/police-responding-fatal-accident-south-omaha\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wowt.com\/2024\/10\/01\/police-responding-fatal-accident-south-omaha\/\">truck in a fatal hit-and-run<\/a> has been arrested Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the statement, a warrant was issued for Christopher Dunning, 31, for leaving the scene of a personal injury accident resulting in death.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The statement says that Dunning was located in a Lincoln residence by Lincoln Police, and has since been booked at Lancaster County Corrections. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wowt.com\/2024\/10\/01\/police-responding-fatal-accident-south-omaha\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wowt.com\/2024\/10\/01\/police-responding-fatal-accident-south-omaha\/\">Walter Tighe, 89<\/a>, was crossing West Center Road from north to south when a silver truck struck him while headed west near 35th Avenue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-left article-text\">Medics declared Tighe dead the the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u2014<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"><i>Get the latest breaking news delivered to your inbox. <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wowt.com\/newsletter\/\"><i>Sign up for 6 News email alerts.<\/i><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\"><i>Copyright 2024 WOWT.
