We don&#8217;t want to rush into anything.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Saudi Arabia&#8217;s PIF is also involved in a number of other entertainment businesses, including sports and films.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes after several key developments for Saudi Arabia and its gaming portfolio, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/saudi-arabia-is-hosting-the-inaugural-esports-olympic-games-next-year\">hosting the next esports Olympic Games<\/a> and the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/blizzard-announces-new-era-of-overwatch-esports-with-saudi-funded-partnership\">Overwatch Champions Series, or OWCS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Savvy Gaming Group is a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund, an initiative chaired by Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The hugely-controversial figure has been blamed by the CIA for the assassination of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018.
