{"id":111673,"date":"2024-10-08T05:29:01","date_gmt":"2024-10-07T22:29:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=111673"},"modified":"2024-10-08T05:29:01","modified_gmt":"2024-10-07T22:29:01","slug":"alex-cooper-explains-kamala-harris-call-her-daddy-interview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=111673","title":{"rendered":"Alex Cooper explains Kamala Harris&#8217; &#8216;Call Her Daddy&#8217; interview"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-layout-key=\"-fb+5w+4e-db+86\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7910942971\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div data-element=\"story-body\" data-subscriber-content=\"\">\n<p>Alex Cooper\u2019s <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/story\/2022-06-09\/how-alexandra-cooper-call-her-daddy-podcast-empire\">\u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d<\/a> interview with Vice President Kamala Harris was not meant to \u201cchange your political affiliation,\u201d the podcast host said, but she believes she would have been remiss to not have a conversation about women with the presidential candidate.<\/p>\n<p>The podcaster opened <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/episode\/4B9WOUCWY8qY0f9MMjOSXa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sunday\u2019s episode<\/a> with a disclosure about her decision to sit down with Harris \u2014 an interview that <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/alex-coopers-call-her-daddy-podcast-faces-backlash-over-propaganda-harris-interview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ignited a firestorm<\/a> on social media among Cooper\u2019s regular listeners, some of whom accused her of propagating talking points of the Democratic Party and its presidential nominee. Others were critical of Harris, who has <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/opinion\/story\/2024-08-06\/kamala-harris-donald-trump-press-interview-joe-biden-election-2024\">eschewed hardball mainstream media interviews<\/a> in favor of \u201cfriendly\u201d or \u201csafe\u201d interviews instead. <\/p>\n<p>Harris\u2019 appearance on the podcast is part of  a number of media appearances this week as she campaigns ahead of the Nov. 5 general election. Planned for this week are <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/tv\/story\/2024-10-06\/vice-president-kamala-harris-to-appear-on-the-late-show-with-stephen-colbert-call-her-daddy\">solo sit-downs<\/a> with Howard Stern, Stephen Colbert and the panel of \u201cThe View.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d has amassed a wide following, particularly with young women who are drawn to Cooper\u2019s takes on sex, dating and relationships, but the podcast, which she co-created in 2018 with former co-host Sofia Franklyn, also tackles current events and features interviews with people in the news and high-profile celebrities, such as Hailey Bieber, Jane Fonda, Gwyneth Paltrow, Janelle Mon\u00e1e and John Legend.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper, 30, knew it was unusual for her to interview the vice president and addressed that in the introduction of the episode, explaining that she had struggled for a while with the decision to get involved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs you guys know, I do not usually discuss politics or have politicians on the show because I want \u2018Call Her Daddy\u2019 to be a place that everyone feels comfortable tuning in,\u201d Cooper said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut, at the end of the day, I couldn\u2019t see a world in which one of the main conversations in this election is women and I\u2019m not a part of it,\u201d she said. \u201cI am so aware I have a very mixed audience when it comes to politics, so please hear me when I say [that] my goal today is not to change your political affiliation. She said she prepared different versions of the interview that touched on topics including the economy, border control and fracking, but ultimately decided to stay in her wheelhouse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe conversation I know I\u2019m qualified to have is the one surrounding women\u2019s bodies and how we are treated and valued in this country,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n<p>Acknowledging that \u201cthis isn\u2019t a one-sided conversation,\u201d Cooper\u2019s team also reached out to Harris\u2019 opponent, former President Trump, to invite him on the show. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf he also wants to have a meaningful, in-depth conversation about women\u2019s rights in this country, then he is welcome on \u2018Call Her Daddy\u2019 any time,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Harris told Cooper that she was feeling \u201cgreat and nervous\u201d going into the final stretch of campaigning and praised Cooper at the top of the interview. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou and you listeners have really got this thing right, which is one of the best ways to communicate with people is to be real and to talk about the things that people really care about. &#8230; Your voice and your show is really about your listeners,\u201d Harris said. \u201cAnd I think especially now, this a moment in the country and in life, where people really want to know they\u2019re seen and heard and that they\u2019re part of a community. That they\u2019re not out there alone and so I\u2019m really glad to be with you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The two also discussed how Harris deals with doubt, attacks on her character, the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, sexual abuse in the U.S. and how to make the country safer for women. <\/p>\n<p>After the episode was uploaded, Cooper posted a separate <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DAzKUiHKWoF\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cGet Ready With Me\u201d video<\/a> on Instagram. In it, she took her 3.2 million followers behind the scenes before and after the interview, including  her thoughts along the way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m going to be honest, when I started \u2018Call Her Daddy,\u2019 I really didn\u2019t see it heading in the direction where I would be sitting down with the vice president of the United States. But, like, dream big, kids!\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m nervous, excited. I know I\u2019m gonna do my best and not everyone is going to be pleased with what I say and do, but we\u2019re keeping this \u2018Call Her Daddy\u2019 and that\u2019s all I can do,\u201d she said. Then, after the sit-down, Cooper added: \u201cI have never in my life felt like an interview went by so fast. I knew I couldn\u2019t hit every policy,  so I did what I knew would apply to the Daddy Gang and I talked about women. I totally understand everyone has different political opinions. I feel really good that the entire episode is about women.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While some of Cooper\u2019s former fans said they were \u201cdisgusted\u201d by the interview, swore off listening to her or announced they would unfollow her, others came to Cooper\u2019s defense.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese comments are hilarious. You are following a sex positive pro women\u2019s rights podcast and expect her to support Trump,\u201d one follower <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DAzKUiHKWoF\/c\/18057860128817468\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a> in the video\u2019s comments section.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome of these comments are sooooo wild to me,\u201d another <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DAzKUiHKWoF\/c\/18064687609639025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>. \u201cAre you not remembering the ab0rtion episode or how she brought on a gynecologist or how she constantly talks about reproductive justice &amp; s*xual health? She has BEEN doing this and I am so glad she is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLOVE THIS!!!!! and if you don\u2019t\u2026.. this isn\u2019t an airport. you don\u2019t need to announce your departure,\u201d <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DAzKUiHKWoF\/c\/18313941229086311\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote <\/a>another.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper  began \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d under Barstool Sports, but in 2021 left the media company for Spotify under a deal reportedly worth $60 million. With Spotify, she expanded the podcast\u2019s reach and burnished its reputation, becoming a go-to platform for celebrities. In August, Cooper signed <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/story\/2024-08-21\/alex-cooper-siriusxm-deal-call-her-daddy-podcast-spotify\">a multi-year deal with SiriusXM<\/a> reportedly worth $125 million.<\/p>\n<p>The podcast, which boasts millions of listeners per episode, has a 4.1 star rating on Spotify and ranks among the platform\u2019s top 5 podcasts \u2014 the most listened to among women.
