The TSLA analysts predict the company will unveil a stripped-down Model 3 during the Robotaxi event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Deepwater analysts believe Tesla will <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.teslarati.com\/tesla-bull-makes-bold-claim-says-three-cars-will-be-unveiled-at-robotaxi-event\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">unveil three vehicles<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> during the \u2018We, Robot\u2019 event: the Model 2, Cybervan, and Cybercab or robotaxi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Munster theorizes that the Model 2 will be a stripped-down version of the Model 3 because Elon Musk delayed Tesla\u2019s Robotaxi event to make \u201cimportant changes<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201c<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">th<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">e cybercab vehicle. The TSLA bull reasons that if Musk is still making changes to the design of the cybercab (aka robotaxi), then production will likely get pushed back as well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In a recent <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/deepwatermgmt.com\/we-robot-event-preview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Deepwater note<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, Munster and Baker write that Tesla will likely focus on vehicles nearing production for the event but tease upcoming products like the Cybervan and Optimus. Munster expects <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teslarati.com\/tesla-robotaxi-commercial-introduction-could-be-late-2025-or-2026-morgan-stanley\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tesla Model 2 production to start in late 2025<\/a>, which he notes is later than Elon Musk\u2019s estimate during the Q2 2024 earnings call.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cWe won\u2019t go much into the product roadmap here because that is reserved for product announcement events. But we are on track to deliver a more affordable model in the first half of next year,\u201d Musk said in the second quarter.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-teslarati wp-block-embed-teslarati\"\/>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Model 2 is expected to start at $25,000. Below are Munster\u2019s expectations for robotaxi, Model 2, and the Cybervan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1. Robotaxi:<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> I expect we will see a physical prototype of the Robotaxi. We also believe the model will have a futuristic feel, like that of the Cybertruck, without a steering wheel, pedals, or mirrors.<\/span> <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Additionally, the reveal will include a \u201cdemo\u201d<\/span> <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">of the Robotaxi in action, summoned by the Tesla ride-hailing app and showing off its autonomous capabilities by maneuvering some sort of track or route.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2. Model 2:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The $25k Model 2 (aka Model A) will be previewed with no working prototype. I expect this vehicle that<\/span> <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">will share similarities with the Robotaxi. While Model 2 will have a steering wheel, pedals, and mirrors, it won\u2019t require FSD to operate. The body will be distinguishable from the Robotaxi, but overall will be on the same production as Robotaxi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">3. Cybervan:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In a similar surprise to the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=S2fopEsE9QM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">updated Roadster driving out of the back of the Semi at the Semi launch<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, I expect Elon will unveil plans for a fully autonomous passenger van (Robotaxi XL for 8-10 people). While the passenger van will be light on Tesla\u2019s signature design, it will be heavy on leveraging autonomy for the ride-hailing vision of affordable transportation.
