We are reviewing how the movie was selected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOne disgruntled passenger noted on social media that they had no ability to turn off the movie as the screen appeared locked until staff switched to another movie.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cThese poor kids and their parents because you should\u2019ve heard the audible gasps across the plane,\u201d wrote another person who thought the selected Johnson movie would have been <em><a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/madame-web\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Madame Web<\/a><\/em>, adding: \u201cI honestly don\u2019t know if that would\u2019ve been worse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn <em>Daddio<\/em>, Johnson plays a young woman who take a cab from JFK Airport to her Manhattan home, during which she has an unexpectedly deep conversation with her driver (Penn) about life, love, sex, death, power dynamics and vulnerability.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe film debuted last September at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/telluride-film-festival\/\">Telluride Film Festival<\/a> after <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2023\/08\/sean-penn-dakota-johnson-daddio-sag-aftra-interim-agreement-festivals-1235519951\/\">landing a SAG-AFTRA agreement<\/a> to allow the cast promote the film amid the Hollywood strikes.
