Things got unexpectedly racy  onboard a recent Qantas flight when an R-rated film was played on all the aircraft\u2019s screens.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1zuv5u0000m3b6ki2k6pvn6@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            According to a statement from the Australian airline confirming the incident to CNN, passengers on the flight from Sydney to Tokyo\u2019s Haneda Airport last week were unable to select movies individually due to a technical issue with the inflight entertainment system.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1zuv5u0000n3b6kjs5cittt@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cOur crew members had a limited list of movies that they were able to play across all screens on the aircraft and based on the request from a number of passengers, a particular movie was selected for the entire flight,\u201d said the statement.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1zuv5u0000o3b6k29zvirs3@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Though Qantas did not name the movie in its statement, multiple photos of inflight screens posted on social media by users claiming to be on the flight revealed the film to be\u00a0\u201cDaddio.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1zuv5u0000p3b6k0q5gkdnf@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            The 2023 drama<strong> <\/strong>starring Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn is rated R by the US Motion Pictures Association \u201cfor language throughout, sexual material and brief graphic nudity.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1zuv5u0000q3b6k82h1q8ks@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            According to a post by a Reddit user who was reportedly on the flight, in addition to nudity, the movie featured \u201ca lot of sexting \u2013 the kind where you could literally read the texts on screen without needing headphones.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1zuv5u0000r3b6kae4opxqk@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cIt took almost an hour of this before they switched to a more kid-friendly movie, but it was super uncomfortable for everyone, especially with families and kids onboard,\u201d said the post, which included images of the phone texts shown in the film, and noted passengers were unable to pause or turn off their screens.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1zuv5u0000s3b6k4xlsywzc@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            In its statement, Qantas said crew initially attempted to fix the screens for customers who did not want to watch the movie. Once it was confirmed this was not possible they switched it to a children\u2019s film.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1zuv5u0000t3b6kqzvdt2c3@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            The airline said cabin crew apologized to passengers, \u201cparticularly those who had complained about the content\u201d and will follow up with them.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1zuv5u0000u3b6khskcp5m6@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cThe movie was clearly not suitable to play for the whole flight and we sincerely apologize to customers for this experience,\u201d said a Qantas spokesperson.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm1zuv5u0000v3b6k5gurwbbr@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cAll screens were changed to a family friendly movie for the rest of the flight, which is our standard practice for the rare cases where individual movie selection isn\u2019t possible.
