One of the people said Ms. Wright planned to serve until the end of the month. Mr. Adams is expected to make the announcement before his regular Tuesday media availability.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">\u201cWe are grateful for First Deputy Mayor Wright\u2019s years of service to the city and all she has done to deliver for children, families, and working-class New Yorkers,\u201d Mr. Adams said in a statement that was expected to be circulated on Tuesday. \u201cShe is an exceptional leader who assembled a strong team and constantly demonstrated a bold vision for this city.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">News of Ms. Wright\u2019s departure comes two weeks after federal prosecutors <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/09\/25\/nyregion\/eric-adams-indicted.html\" title=\"\">unsealed a five-count corruption indictment against the mayor<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<aside class=\"css-ew4tgv\" aria-label=\"companion column\"\/><\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"companionColumn-1\">\n<div class=\"css-53u6y8\">\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">It also follows the resignation announcements of her brother-in-law, <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/10\/07\/nyregion\/phil-banks-resigns-eric-adams.html\" title=\"\">Philip B.
