daughter has been found. <\/p>\n<p>Seattle police told The Post on Tuesday that they have found Charlotte \u201cBowie\u201d Drozd <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/10\/08\/entertainment\/flaming-lips-steven-drozds-daughter-charlotte-16-missing\/\">after she went missing<\/a> on Saturday, Oct. 5.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Seattle Police Department can confirm 16-year-old Charlotte Drozd has been located and is now safe with her family,\u201d Seattle PD said in a statement to The Post. <\/p>\n<p>The police shared a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SeattlePD\/status\/1843053010341237153\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">missing person alert<\/a> Sunday on X, formerly known as Twitter, providing a photo of Charlotte as well as details that may help identify her. <\/p>\n<p>The Flaming Lips drummer\u2019s daughter was last seen Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in downtown Seattle on Broad Street near the Space Needle and Seattle Monorail.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The Flaming Lips\u2019 Steven Drozd\u2019s daughter, Charlotte Charlotte had been located and reunited with her family. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram \/ Katy Coyne<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Shortly before police announced that Charlotte had been located, Katy Coyne, who is married to Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DA3tP-EPZrP\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">posted on Instagram<\/a> that \u201cBowie\u201d Drozd \u201cwas found safe outside of Seattle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you to everyone helping bring her home safely,\u201d Katy continued. \u201c[T]here\u2019s no other information about the situation yet but she was just found \ud83d\ude4f.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter Instagram<\/a>, beggining, \u201cYessssss,\u201d before adding, \u201cshe\u2019s found and is safe.. her mother has spoke with her.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cTHANK YOU everyone for all your posts and all your networking and all your support and all your skills and all your trust and all your LOVE !!!\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne also shared the good news on Instagram. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram \/ Wayne Coyne<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Seattle Police declared Charlotte\u2019s disappearance an active missing person case over the weekend and assigned a missing persons detective to investigate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Drozd\u2019s bandmates, friends and family shared the news of Charlotte\u2019s disappearance on social media, imploring the public to help in the search.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Coyne and rock icon Weezer were among those who shared Charlotte\u2019s missing person poster on Instagram.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you Wayne for posting,\u201d Drozd commented. \u201cWe don\u2019t know what to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure the word and were joined by\u00a0current and former members of the band including Michael Ivins, Kliph Scurlock, Matthew Duckworth and Nicholas Ley.
