CNN\u2019s publication also quoted Roe\u2019s counsel making derisive statements about this lawsuit.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAlmost identical to Brooks first federal filing of about a month ago, the SAC filed today only differs from the one before it with its two mentions of Jane Roe\u2019s real name and the singer himself, who went before under \u201cJohn Doe.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn the October 8 Mississippi jury trial filing, as with the September 13 one, Tennessee-based Brooks wants a \u201cdeclaratory judgment that Defendant\u2019s allegations against him of sexual misconduct are untrue,\u201d as well as a series of unspecified damages in excess of $75,000 The six-claim West Coast LASC filing from Jane Roe seeks a series of unspecified damages too. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t Deadline is not going to publish the real name of Brooks\u2019 rape accuser at this time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHowever, with Brooks\u2019 reveal of Jane Roe\u2019s real name, her lawyers may now be seeking more out of the courts in the Southern state, at least indirectly. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cGarth Brooks just revealed his true self,\u201d exclaimed Doug Wigdor, Jeanne M. Christensen and Hayley Baker in a statement provided to Deadline this evening. \u201cOut of spite and to punish, he publicly named a rape victim. With no legal justification, Brooks outed her because he thinks the laws don\u2019t apply to him. On behalf of our client, we will be moving for maximum sanctions against him immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tImmediately to be read as October 9, a well placed source tells me. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tTelling perhaps of the new more public strategy Brooks is now pursuing, the singer added Daniel Petrocelli, one of corporate Hollywood\u2019s favorite go-to lawyers, to his team on October 4. Joined by Megan Smith and Eric Amdursky from O\u2019Melveny &amp; Myers\u2019s California offices, Petrocelli and his firm colleages will now work aside Brook\u2019s R. David Kaufman-led initial legal team of Jackson, Mississippi\u2019s Brunini,\u00a0Grantham,\u00a0Grower &amp; Hewes,\u00a0PLLC.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOn October 7, Brooks briefly addressed \u201cthe elephant in the room\u201d on his<em> Inside Studio G<\/em> on Facebook Live. \u201cThis thing is on, it\u2019s gonna happen,\u201d the singer said of the allegations and court battle. \u201cPeople are telling me it could be up to two years,\u201d Brooks added. \u201cSo my suggestion is, we all take a deep breath, just kinda settle in and let\u2019s hold hands and take a trip together, because it is something that we cannot talk about.
