Norwegian entertainment journalist Kjersti Flaa posted a video from the \u201cLes Miserables\u201d press junket in which Hathaway was curt in some of her answers and shot down Flaa\u2019s pitch to sing one of the questions and answers with her. Hathaway\u2019s co-stars, Hugh Jackman and Eddie Redmayne, agreed to Flaa\u2019s singing request, but Hathaway said: \u201cWell, I won\u2019t be doing that, but you\u2019re more than welcome to sing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIt appears Hathaway caught wind of the resurfaced interview, as Flaa posted an updated video a few days later and revealed the Oscar winner had reached out to her through her representative to offer an apology for the cringeworthy chat. <em>Variety<\/em> confirmed with Hathaway\u2019s rep that the actor officially responded to Flaa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cYesterday I did receive an email. It was from Anne Hathaway\u2019s publicist, and he forwarded a message to me from Anne Hathaway.\u00a0I have to say, I was pretty shocked,\u201d Flaa said. \u201cI had not expected her to reach out to me at all. I thought she was never gonna even see that video, but she did. And she did something pretty amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cShe sent me a long email explaining to me what she was going through right then when she did this interview, and she apologized for being\u2026 giving me an awful interview, basically. It was so touching to me,\u201d Flaa continued. \u201cJust talking about it makes me almost teary eyed because I was just so grateful that she did that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFlaa did not want to reveal the full email to her viewers but said that Hathaway sent a \u201cvery personal note\u201d and also invited Flaa to interview her the next time she has a major film release in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to that, Anne,\u201d Flaa said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFlaa<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/blake-lively-faces-backlash-over-uncomfortable-2016-interview-source-defends-her-8695787\" target=\"_blank\"> made headlines<\/a> over the summer when she resurfaced an interview with Blake Lively from 2016.
