The veteran podcaster was stunned to the point of silence but could be heard letting out periodic &#8216;wow&#8217;s&#8217; and heavy exhales.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">One of the doctors,\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><\/span>Dr Casey Means, a head and neck surgeon from <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/oregon\/index.html\" id=\"mol-642bc030-8671-11ef-bc93-6d7df0dd8d5d\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Oregon<\/a>, said: &#8216;We are getting destroyed, and it&#8217;s very recent and it&#8217;s accelerating. 16px;\">oughly one in two Americans will get <\/span><a target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/cancer\/index.html\" id=\"mol-74105ab0-8671-11ef-bc93-6d7df0dd8d5d\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\" rel=\"noopener\">cancer<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0in their lifetimes, according to the National Cancer Institute, compared to one in five in China and one in three in Italy.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The global incidence of early-onset cancer has risen 79 percent in two decades, and a staggering one-fifth of Americans has heart disease, compared to a tenth of Europeans.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Dr Means\u00a0also said that infertility rates among men and women are, on average, rising one percent every year, which could help explain the <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/health\/article-13761685\/US-fertility-rate-crashes-historic-low-America-underpopulated.html\" rel=\"noopener\">US&#8217;s record-low birth rate<\/a>, lower <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/612074\/fertility-rates-in-european-countries\/\">than that of France<\/a>, Ireland, Denmark, and Iceland.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Dr Means told Rogan that the US agricultural industry has been using chemicals on food we buy for years which are banned elsewhere in the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Pesticides banned in Europe alone account for over a quarter of the total amount of pesticides used in the US.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Dr Means zeroed in on atrazine, specifically, which is applied to crops like corn, sugarcane, and grain for livestock.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">It has the potential to contaminate groundwater when it runs off crops and farmland, and it&#8217;s been shown to disrupt hormone systems in wildlife.<\/p>\n<p phased out in China.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Atrazine and other pesticides have been linked to <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/health\/fertility\/index.html\" id=\"mol-397bc0a0-8672-11ef-bc93-6d7df0dd8d5d\" rel=\"noopener\">fertility<\/a>\u00a0problems in humans and animals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The chemicals are known as endocrine disruptors, which means they interfere with the regulation of hormones in the body, which affects estrogen and testosterone.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Meanwhile, glyphosate, a widely used herbicide in the agricultural, garden, and home sectors in the country, was\u00a0<a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-11006431\/Weedkiller-ingredient-used-notorious-Roundup-80-urine-samples.html\" rel=\"noopener\">found\u00a0in 1,885 of 2,310<\/a>\u00a0urine samples, or 82 percent. For comparison, in 2002, around 12 percent of women of all ages <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/data\/nhsr\/nhsr067.pdf\">had difficulty conceiving<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Dr Calley Means, a former pharmaceutical consultant, also joined the podcast and\u00a0listed various contributing factors, such as exposure to environmental toxins, poor nutrition, and unhealthy lifestyle choices, which may impact reproductive health.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">He added that many doctors lack the necessary training to identify Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), a leading cause of infertility.<\/p>\n<div
