In the final interview that aired Oct. 7, Harris\u2019 answer was edited differently. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe two clips have circulated on social media side-by-side as the network faces calls to release the full interview transcript. Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Wednesday that CBS \u201cmust be investigated,\u201d accusing the network of making Harris appear \u201cmore Presidential\u201d in the edit. Both versions of Harris\u2019 response are transcribed below.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn a statement addressing the controversy surrounding the edited response, an aide for the Harris campaign told <em>Variety<\/em>, \u201cWe do not control CBS\u2019s production decisions and refer questions to CBS.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tCBS did not immediately respond to <em>Variety<\/em>\u2018s request for comment. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDuring its Monday night broadcast, <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/cbs-news\/\" id=\"auto-tag_cbs-news\" data-tag=\"cbs-news\">CBS News<\/a> said Trump backed out of his \u201c60 Minutes\u201d interview, with correspondent Scott Pelley saying that the campaign \u201ccomplained that we would fact-check the interview. And when we think about the threat that Hamas, Hezbollah presents, Iran, I think that it is without any question our imperative to do what we can to allow Israel to defend itself against those kinds of attacks. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNow the work that we do diplomatically with the leadership of Israel is an ongoing pursuit around making clear our principles, which include the need for humanitarian aid, the need for this war to end, the need for a deal to be done which would release the hostages and create a ceasefire.
