{"id":112863,"date":"2024-10-11T09:40:26","date_gmt":"2024-10-11T02:40:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=112863"},"modified":"2024-10-11T09:40:26","modified_gmt":"2024-10-11T02:40:26","slug":"meat-recall-10m-pounds-of-meat-and-poultry-recalled-due-to-listeria-contamination-throw-out-asap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=112863","title":{"rendered":"Meat recall: 10M pounds of meat and poultry recalled due to listeria contamination; throw out ASAP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-layout-key=\"-fb+5w+4e-db+86\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7910942971\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"KTRAMU673VHQNB5E2TX5F6P3CE\">A pre-cooked meat producer is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nj.com\/food-recalls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recalling nearly 10 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products<\/a> due to listeria contamination.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"VFT3K3NOXBAGJEM6ZRT6BHZDK4\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsis.usda.gov\/recalls-alerts\/brucepac-recalls-ready-eat-meat-and-poultry-products-due-possible-listeria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to a notice from the U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s Food Safety and Inspection Service<\/a>, BrucePac recalled roughly 9,986,245 pounds of product after routine testing found evidence of listeria contamination on BrucePac\u2019s ready-to-eat poultry products.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"Q3ZPN3YBWNHILADI3BWD7QCRQM\">No illnesses or adverse reactions in connection with this recall have been reported to date.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"43CDGELWM5BZXJRJ3NJ6KLQC4I\">The affected products were shipped to distributors and retailers nationwide, and some of the affected products had production dates as late as Oct. 8, 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"AVZ3WEUX25BRJESUV3NQRCWMJI\">This means many of the products are still in customers\u2019 freezers or refrigerators or are even available on store shelves or stored in restaurants, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsis.usda.gov\/recalls-alerts\/brucepac-recalls-ready-eat-meat-and-poultry-products-due-possible-listeria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to the FSIS.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"article-heading\">Meat Recall 2024: Everything included in the 10M pound recall<\/h2>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"FRMRLCY2J5CYPH3YIQYM3AQC5M\">The following items are subject to the recall:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"article__unordered-list\">\n<li><span>Ready-to-eat meat and poultry items with a production date of June 19, 2024, to October 8, 2024, with establishment numbers \u201c51205 or P-51205\u2033 on the packaging.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"IF7AAXKV4FHP3LE4BT4ZMAQ3LM\">BrucePac and the USDA are still in the process of pulling together a list of recalled products. Although multiple meat items are subject to recall, the listeria contamination was found in the ready-to-eat chicken products, according to the USDA.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ETGUTEBL45C73BD3AHGNE4Z5HI\">The agency is advising customers who bought these products not to eat them and throw them out or return them to their place of purchase.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"BFA4CIKYSNEYXGYDL2UNCAADPM\">Retailers are also being advised to not sell the recalled products and either discard them or return them to their distributors.<\/p>\n<section class=\"Stories-By-Section-Tag-module_wrapper__69Ed7 Stories-By-Section-Tag-module_nj__RFbQx\"\/>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"CBBF44G2K5C4HO3HEHDGWBIANQ\"><i>Our journalism needs your support.
