The verdict in Fortnite maker Epic Games\u2019 long-running legal battle with the internet giant means Google will have to carry third-party Android app stores in the Play Store and grant third-party app stores full access to Google Play&#8217;s catalog of apps.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">For Microsoft, the ruling means it\u2019s free to sell Xbox games on Android devices <em>and<\/em> let gamers stream them as soon as they\u2019re purchased from within the same app, all without having to use Google Play Billing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Xbox president Sarah Bond made the announcement in the <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BondSarah_Bond\/status\/1844506029599707255\" class=\"link jsx-1337145738 jsx-3925284146 underlined\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tweet<\/a>: \u201cThe court&#8217;s ruling to open up Google\u00b4s mobile store in the US will allow more choice and flexibility.
