Clears the Way for SpaceX to Hold Starship Launch on Sunday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-layout-key=\"-fb+5w+4e-db+86\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7910942971\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div data-testid=\"companionColumn-0\">\n<div class=\"css-53u6y8\">\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">The Federal Aviation Administration issued a new license on Saturday allowing Elon Musk\u2019s SpaceX company to launch its Starship rocket again from South Texas, and it included new requirements to limit the harm to birds\u2019 nests and other wildlife in an adjacent state park and National Wildlife Refuge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">The action by the F.A.A., which came after weeks of pressure by Mr. Musk on the agency to speed up its latest review, allows Mr. Musk to go ahead with his next test of Starship, with a launch now set to take place <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SpaceX\/status\/1845146075574972633?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">as early as 8 a.m.<\/a> Eastern time on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">So far, SpaceX has been required to obtain a license for each launch. With the latest license, the F.A.A. is allowing the company to launch more than once, unless it modifies its procedures.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Starship, the largest rocket ever built, has not yet carried any humans into space, as its reliability is still being assessed.
