{"id":114463,"date":"2024-10-15T16:23:46","date_gmt":"2024-10-15T09:23:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=114463"},"modified":"2024-10-15T16:23:46","modified_gmt":"2024-10-15T09:23:46","slug":"djt-stock-extends-massive-rally-as-election-odds-shift-in-donald-trumps-favor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=114463","title":{"rendered":"DJT stock extends massive rally as election odds shift in Donald Trump&#8217;s favor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-layout-key=\"-fb+5w+4e-db+86\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7910942971\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Trump Media &amp; Technology Group stock (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:1;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/DJT\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:DJT;cpos:1;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">DJT<\/a>) extended its massive rally early on Tuesday, rising as much as 11% in premarket trading as investors bet on former President Donald Trump&#8217;s improved odds of winning the November election.<\/p>\n<p>Shares in the company, the home of the Republican nominee&#8217;s social media platform Truth Social, jumped on Monday to close over 18% higher.<\/p>\n<p>Over the weekend, both domestic and overseas betting markets shifted in favor of a Trump victory, with prediction sites like <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/polymarket.com\/elections\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Polymarket;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Polymarket<\/a>, <a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.predictit.org\/markets\/detail\/7456\/Who-will-win-the-2024-US-presidential-election\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:PredictIt;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">PredictIt<\/a>, and <a data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/kalshi.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Kalshi;cpos:4;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Kalshi<\/a> all showing Trump&#8217;s presidential chances ahead of those of Democratic nominee and current Vice President Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, DJT <a data-i13n=\"cpos:5;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2024\/10\/14\/2962555\/0\/en\/Trump-Media-Announces-Release-of-Truth-Streaming-on-the-Web.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:announced the web launch;cpos:5;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">announced the web launch<\/a> of its Truth+ TV streaming service on Monday. The app is currently available to access on Android devices and will soon be released as a native Apple iOS app.<\/p>\n<p>DJT shares <a data-i13n=\"cpos:6;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/djt-stock-plummets-to-new-lows-after-lockup-period-expires-174815865.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:traded at their lowest level since the company's debut;cpos:6;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">traded at their lowest level since the company&#8217;s debut <\/a>following the expiration of the company&#8217;s highly publicized lockup period last month. The stock has also been under pressure as previous polling saw Harris edging slightly ahead of the former president.<\/p>\n<p>Trump&#8217;s recent campaign momentum follows an appearance by Elon Musk at his rally in Butler, Pa., earlier this month. It was the same location where the former president <a data-i13n=\"cpos:7;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/djt-stock-soars-after-donald-trump-survives-assassination-attempt-180135353.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:survived an assassination attempt;cpos:7;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">survived an assassination attempt<\/a> in July.<\/p>\n<p>Tech billionaire Musk, who serves as the CEO of Tesla (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:8;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/TSLA\" data-ylk=\"slk:TSLA;cpos:8;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">TSLA<\/a>) and SpaceX and also owns social media platform X (formerly Twitter), has been outspoken about his support of Trump ahead of next month&#8217;s election. Trump has even said <a data-i13n=\"cpos:9;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ShawnRyan762\/status\/1827719384674038209?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1827719384674038209%7Ctwgr%5E02c3ad0349460d4f17fdd0f340c51145565b79d6%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fnypost.com%2F2024%2F08%2F26%2Fbusiness%2Ftrump-doubts-cabinet-role-for-elon-musk-but-says-he-could-consult%2F\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:he would consider a Cabinet position;cpos:9;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">he would consider a Cabinet position<\/a> for Musk but that the businessman likely would not be able to serve &#8220;with all the things he&#8217;s got going on.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>At the rally, Musk told the crowd that Trump is the only candidate who can &#8220;preserve democracy in America,&#8221; adding this will be &#8220;the last election&#8221; if Trump does not win.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Harris has <a data-i13n=\"cpos:10;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/kamala-harris-kicks-off-a-busy-week-of-media-appearances-from-call-her-daddy-to-howard-stern-and-the-view-182228689.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall\" data-ylk=\"slk:recently embarked;cpos:10;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">recently embarked<\/a> on a flurry of media appearances in which she was pressed on how she would fund some of her proposals surrounding the economy and immigration.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"caas-figure\">\n<div class=\"caas-figure-with-pb\" style=\"max-height: 640px\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"caas-img-container caas-img-loader\" style=\"padding-bottom:67%\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"caas-img caas-lazy has-preview\" alt=\"Donald Trump speaks during a campaign rally at Findlay Toyota Center on October 13, 2024 in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Trump has since been reinstated on those platforms. He officially <a data-i13n=\"cpos:12;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/djt-stock-falls-after-donald-trump-returns-to-x-ahead-of-elon-musk-interview-201747189.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:returned to X in mid-August;cpos:12;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">returned to X in mid-August<\/a> after about a year&#8217;s hiatus.<\/p>\n<p>But as Truth Social attempts to take on the social media incumbents, the fundamentals of the company have long been in question.<\/p>\n<p>In August, DJT <a data-i13n=\"cpos:13;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/ir.tmtgcorp.com\/news-events\/press-releases\/#b2iLibScrollTo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:reported;cpos:13;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">reported<\/a> second quarter results that revealed a net loss of $16.4 million, about half of which was tied to expenses related to the company&#8217;s SPAC deal. The company also reported revenue of just under $837,000 for the quarter ending June 30, a 30% year-over-year drop.<\/p>\n<p><button class=\"link caas-button readmore-button-finance collapse-button readmore-button-class\" data-ylk=\"elm:readmore;slk:Story continues\"><span class=\"readmoreButtonText\">Story continues<\/span><\/button><\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, <a data-i13n=\"cpos:14;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/video\/dji-trades-lower-announcing-coo-200820208.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:the company revealed;cpos:14;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">the company revealed<\/a> that its COO had stepped down in September.<\/p>\n<p>Trump maintains a roughly <a data-i13n=\"cpos:15;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/trump-media-truth-social-spac-vote-841820869418c37ad7eed04f2af42854\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:60% interest;cpos:15;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">60% interest<\/a> in DJT. At current levels of around $27 a share, Trump Media boasts a market cap of about $5.5 billion, giving the former president a stake worth around $3.3 billion. Right after the company&#8217;s public debut, Trump&#8217;s stake was worth just over $4.5 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Trump Media went public on the Nasdaq in late March after <a data-i13n=\"cpos:16;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/finance\/trump-makes-a-new-fortune-with-public-listing-of-truth-social-93790821\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:merging;cpos:16;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">merging<\/a> with special purpose acquisition company Digital World Acquisition Corp. But the stock has been on a bumpy ride since, with shares oscillating between highs and lows as the moves have typically been tied to a volatile news cycle.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past six months, the stock has been off around 15% \u2014 a massive improvement on the heels of the rally after shares hit their lowest point last month.<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholders, including the former president, were subject to a six-month lockup period before being able to sell or transfer shares. That lockup period expired on Sept. 19, although Trump said at the time that he would not sell his stake.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have absolutely no intention of selling,\u201d the former president told reporters at a press conference prior to the lockup period expiration. \u201cI love it.
