The products were processed at a facility in Durant, Oklahoma, between June 19 and Oct. 8.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"4WPCVC5WRJAR7P2QLZAK3WYUIU\">There are no confirmed cases of illness associated with the contamination, but it\u2019s raised alarm because of how widely the products were distributed. The meats were shipped nationwide and used as ingredients in prepared foods at restaurants and private-label products at grocery stores and other retailers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"7VRM3O4AXBCOPJA2ED6QSJUT5E\">That\u2019s made it difficult to identify the products that should be tossed. The Agriculture Department has published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsis.usda.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/food_label_pdf\/2024-10\/Recall-028-2024-Labels.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">more than 300 pages of packaging and labels<\/a> for products that may be contaminated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"VBEOKT7GDFGRBMELICJEEPTILA\">The product reached big brands including Dole, Rao\u2019s and El Monterey and products sold under the private labels of Trader Joe\u2018s, Walmart house brand Great Value, Amazon, 7-Eleven, Albertsons and Kroger.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"C4VKLG63WBFT5GPGJP7I3AHUCI\">None of those establishments are among those linked to the recall in Oregon, but 79 smaller retailers carrying lesser-known brands have been. Click here.)<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"GWTNKWO4YNCWJAA4NS2EQQ2DXY\">The list of affected products can be viewed on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsis.usda.gov\/recalls-alerts\/brucepac-recalls-ready-eat-meat-and-poultry-products-due-possible-listeria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"TBVON6OWQRF37ISCLLB5VWIKYI\">Listeria infection, known as listeriosis, can cause fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions, as well as diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms. It can cause miscarriages or premature delivery during pregnancy and can be fatal for people with weakened immune systems.
