Jones said he hopes to practice Thursday, though Vikings coach Kevin O\u2019Connell was noncommittal on Jones\u2019 availability for Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAaron is going to progress throughout the week and hopefully <span class=\"LinkEnhancement\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/41835841\/vikings-aaron-jones-hamstring-eyes-practice-return-thurs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has a chance to go<\/a><\/span> on Sunday,\u201d O\u2019Connell said, via Kevin Seifert of ESPN.<\/p>\n<p>Jones said he originally felt tightness in his right hip during pregame warmups before the Week 5 game. He made a leaping catch on the second possession and left the game after two more carries.<\/p>\n<p>The Vikings were off last week.<\/p>\n<p>Ty Chandler would start if Jones can\u2019t go, but Minnesota got some insurance this week by trading with the Texans for running back Cam Akers. <\/p>\n<p>Linebacker Blake Cashman (toe), cornerback Akayleb Evans (hip), outside linebacker Patrick Jones II (shoulder) and defensive lineman Harrison Phillips (shoulder) also did not practice Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Tight end T.J.
