According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtl.fr\/actu\/justice-faits-divers\/mort-de-lina-zone-des-recherches-causes-de-la-mort-suspect-les-questions-qui-restent-en-suspens-7900429912\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">French radio network RTL<\/a>, Gonin left a farewell letter, which reads in part: &#8221; I have lost my honor, my dignity, my humanity, I must leave. I do not know how to control myself, it is going too fast.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Analysis of his car&#8217;s geo-location data allowed police to identify several stops it had made, including the one made a day after Lina&#8217;s disappearance, that eventually led to the discovery of the body.
