Video shot by FOX Weather Correspondent Robert Ray shows members of the community picking up the pieces.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><strong>TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. \u2014 <\/strong>Reminders are growing of the daunting cleanup efforts that remain after Florida\u2019s beachfronts were slammed by not just Hurricane <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/helene\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Helene<\/a> but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/milton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Milton<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">In Treasure Island, a pile of soaked debris now sits on what was an empty lot next to the town\u2019s police station. Much of the debris was from Helene\u2019s wrath that didn\u2019t get a chance to be cleared before Milton piled on.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;The shock of Milton and Helene is over,&#8221; Ray said. &#8220;And the reality has set in as far as everybody trying to get things to some sort of semblance (of normal.)&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2 data-v-4e81e892=\"\">Help comes from far and wide<\/h2>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Those efforts were under way just a few blocks away, where tunes blared under massive tents full of relief supplies for residents to take as needed.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;This is a makeshift aid station for all the people who have lost everything from soap to diapers, to wipes, to food, to chips, to canned goods, to water, to batteries, to screws, to screwdrivers, to nails,&#8221; Ray said. &#8220;Literally everything that someone might need in a recovery mode is here.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Also there: volunteers from far and wide. Travis Bonino <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/salsaleedos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">owns Salsa Leedos Mexican Grill<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/utah\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Utah<\/a>, but has property in Treasure Island that was damaged during the storms.<\/p>\n<div class=\"featured featured-video video-ct\">\n<div class=\"video-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"info\">\n<div class=\"caption\">\n<p class=\"sub-text\">Travis Bonino says he reached out to his restaurant community in Utah after hurricanes hit Florida. The result was tractor-trailers full of supplies for victims working to recover.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;People were walking around the streets with nothing but literally bags. That&#8217;s all they had left,&#8221; Bonino told Ray. &#8220;Their homes were destroyed. Their jobs were lost.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Bonino <a href=\"https:\/\/fb.watch\/vhr28TzS24\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reached out to his Utah community on Facebook<\/a>, and they quickly rallied, filling three semi-trucks with relief supplies that made their way to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/florida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida<\/a>. Meanwhile, the local community supplied the space, tents, generators \u2014 and music \u2014 to make the aid tent happen.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;(We\u2019re trying to) make people feel comfortable. Come and take things,&#8221; Bonino said. &#8220;A lot of these people have never asked for a hand out in their life, right? They have nothing left. So some of them have money, but they have no way to buy this stuff.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2 data-v-4e81e892=\"\">\u2018Kick in the gut\u2019 to have two storms back-to-back<\/h2>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Over along the beachfront, there\u2019s a second round of cleaning up at Caddy\u2019s Treasure Island after Milton once again drowned the restaurant in feet of seawater.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;It\u2019s a kick in the gut having two storms back-to-back,&#8221; Caddy\u2019s CEO Randy Esponda told Ray. &#8220;We\u2019re resilient and happy as can be that the building is intact.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"featured featured-video video-ct\">\n<div class=\"video-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"info\">\n<div class=\"caption\">\n<p class=\"sub-text\">Caddy&#8217;s Treasure Island is literally digging out from the sand and storm surge damage left behind by Hurricane Milton. CEO Randy Esponda tells FOX Weather&#8217;s Robert Ray they will reopen eventually but pleas for tourists to return when ready and help support other restaurants too.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The restaurant and bar sits just 30 or so yards from the Gulf of Mexico surf &#8212; no match for either storm. Esponda said after the storm surge smashed through the bottom floor, it left behind a layer of sand 3-4 feet deep.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Aside from shoveling out the immense volume of sand, walls and floors need to be replaced, as well as four of the bars.
