Information (K&amp;I) team and some structural changes to its Gemini team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">At K&amp;I, which includes the company\u2019s Search, Ads, Geo and Commerce products, <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/capitalg.com\/team\/nick-fox\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Nick Fox<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> will succeed <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/research.google\/people\/prabhakarraghavan\/?&amp;type=google\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Prabhakar Raghavan<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> as head of the team, <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/sundarpichai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sundar Pichai<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, CEO of Google and Alphabet, said in a Thursday (Oct. 17) <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.google\/inside-google\/company-announcements\/changes-knowledge-information-gemini-app-deepmind\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">announcement<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Raghavan will move to the role of chief technologist at Google where he will partner with Pichai and Google leads to \u201cprovide technical direction and leadership and grow our culture of tech excellence,\u201d Pichai said in the announcement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">While Raghavan was leading K&amp;I, the group launched AI Overviews in Search; added new search modalities like Circle to Search, video understanding and \u201cshop what you see\u201d in Lens; added artificial intelligence-driven features like immersive view and virtual try-on to Maps and Shopping; and made progress on AI-powered ad formats and streamlined campaign management, according to the announcement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cI\u2019m so grateful to Prabhakar for the strong foundation and leadership bench he\u2019s built across K&amp;I,\u201d Pichai said in the announcement. \u201cThat includes his incredible senior leaders and Nick who is ready to hit the ground running in his new role as SVP of K&amp;I!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Fox, a member of Raghavan\u2019s leadership team at K&amp;I who will now lead that team, has demonstrated leadership across the different facets of K&amp;I, was a pioneering leader in Ads, and launched products like Google Fi, according to the announcement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cI frequently turn to Nick to tackle our most challenging product questions, and he consistently delivers progress with tenacity, speed and optimism,\u201d Pichai said in the announcement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The announcement also said that the Gemini app team led by <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/sissie-h-b24243\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sissie Hsaio<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> will join <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/deepmind.google\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Google DeepMind<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> under <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.linkedin.com\/in\/demishassabis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Demis Hassabis<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, enabling the app team and the Gemini models team to work together more closely.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It also said that the Assistant teams focused on devices and home experiences will move to Platforms &amp;
