The\u00a0study was conducted in England where the average height of a woman was found to be about five-feet-four\u00a0inches.<\/p>\n<h2>Women on the lower side of that spectrum, from five feet tall to five foot three, were more likely to be in happy relationships\u00a0and have children by the age of 42 than their taller sisters.\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>But wait, there&#8217;s more. The study didn&#8217;t just examine women, there were statistics taken about men, too. Sad but true, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yourtango.com\/love\/reasons-tall-men-make-best-husbands-according-psychology\">women polled all preferred men who were taller<\/a> than average for romantic relationships. About six feet tall, to be precise.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To me, it makes sense that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yourtango.com\/love\/why-wives-with-taller-husbands-have-happier-marriages\">women would prefer a taller man<\/a>, just from an evolutionary standpoint, <a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC4426629\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">research from 2015<\/a> even backs that up. So, if anything, our height should make us less viable long-term relationship partners.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Nettle who led this research team has one thought as to why this might be the case.\u00a0\u201cWe know that men are drawn to things that in our evolutionary past would have been a cue for fertility.
