Oct. 19, 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><strong>MIAMI \u2014 <\/strong>A tropical disturbance that has spent days in the Atlantic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/ocean\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ocean<\/a> struggling to get organized suddenly found new life Saturday, and may develop into a tropical depression, or even a tropical storm later in the day.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The storm, currently designated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/what-is-invest-tropical-hurricane-season\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Invest 94L<\/a>, has suddenly had its showers and thunderstorms become better organized Saturday morning, according to the National <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/hurricanes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hurricane<\/a> Center. There is even now a small area of low pressure as it swirls a couple hundred miles north of the northern coast of the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/learn\/what-is-invest-tropical-hurricane-season\"><strong>WHAT IS AN \u2018INVEST\u2019?<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;If these trends continue, a tropical depression or storm could form as soon as later (Saturday) as the system moves generally westward at 10 to 15 mph,&#8221; the NHC wrote in their Saturday morning update.<\/p>\n<div data-v-b8684aba=\"\">\n<div class=\"freeform-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/media.foxweather.com\/weather\/Area%20to%20Watch%201.png?v1\"\/><figcaption>Invest 94L<br \/><strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong><\/figcaption><hr\/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">If the storm develops enough organization with at least 39 mph winds, it would take the name Tropical Storm Oscar and become the second tropical storm to get a name on Saturday, joining <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/tracking-tropical-storm-nadine-caribbean\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tropical Storm Nadine, which was christened early Saturday morning<\/a> near Belize.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/weather-news\/tracking-tropical-storm-nadine-caribbean\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>TROPICAL STORM NADINE THREATENING TORRENTIAL RAINS IN BELIZE, SOUTHERN MEXICO<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Invest 94L is expected to pass north of Hispanola Saturday and then move near the Turks and Caicos Islands, the southeastern Bahamas, and extreme eastern Cuba on Sunday, the NHC said.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;Interests in these locations should monitor the progress of this system,&#8221;
