There have been no confirmed reports of illness linked to the frozen waffle items so far, the company added.<\/p>\n<p>The recall is related to products sold in the U.S. and in Canada. A series of outbreaks \u2014 largely tied to deli meat \u2014 has killed 10 people across 19 states, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/media\/releases\/2024\/s0925-listeria-outbreak.html\">Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a> reported on Sept. 25. More than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2024\/10\/16\/nx-s1-5154865\/recall-listeria-meat-chicken-brucepac-list\">11 million pounds<\/a> of ready-to-eat meat and poultry items have also been recalled as a result.<\/p>\n<p>Listeria infections typically cause flu-like symptoms, like fever, headache, and fatigue. Symptoms can appear as early as the same day or as late as 10 weeks later, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/listeria\/about\/index.html\">CDC.<\/a> Depending on the severity of the infection, some people can recover on their own, while others may need antibiotics. <\/p>\n<p>TreeHouse Foods said customers should check their freezers for any products listed in the recall <a href=\"https:\/\/www.treehousefoods.com\/news-and-media\/press-release-details\/2024\/TreeHouse-Foods-Announces-Voluntary-Recall-of-Certain-Waffle-Products-Due-to-the-Potential-for-Listeria-monocytogenes-Contamination\/default.aspx\">here<\/a>.
