Awesome desk organization, awesome outcomes, is how my head works.<\/p>\n<p>But I broke this rule slightly by the close of trading on Friday. Going forward, I will have a paper cutout of Nvidia (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/NVDA\" data-ylk=\"slk:NVDA;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">NVDA<\/a>) CEO Jensen Huang in his trademark leather jacket thumbtacked to the wallboard (see pic below). And I&#8217;ll tell you why.<\/p>\n<p>For one full day this week I forgot to check Nvidia&#8217;s stock price my usual 10 times a day \u2014 only checking in five times. I let myself (and you all) down because, in the blink of an eye, Nvidia&#8217;s stock went from a quick sell-off from the Monday record highs back to those same highs come the end of the week.<\/p>\n<p>I missed it!<\/p>\n<p>The stock is up 13% in October, dusting the 1.4% gain for the S&amp;P 500. AMD&#8217;s (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/AMD\" data-ylk=\"slk:AMD;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">AMD<\/a>) stock is <em>down<\/em> by 5% this month, similar to Intel (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/INTC\" data-ylk=\"slk:INTC;cpos:4;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">INTC<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>So Jensen&#8217;s face on my desk is a reminder to check in with Nvidia&#8217;s stock price and fundamentals numerous times a day. To be honest with you, I don&#8217;t see where that insanely bad stuff would sprout from over the next few quarters.<\/p>\n<p>Neither do the array of plugged-in characters I chat up each week.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t think when you get to Nvidia, there is any hype at all. I have known Jensen for decades, and he is the real deal. What these guys are doing is very real and very powerful,&#8221; C3.ai (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:6;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/AI\" data-ylk=\"slk:AI;cpos:6;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">AI<\/a>) founder and CEO <a data-i13n=\"cpos:7;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/video\/only-few-ai-winners-c3-184902336.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Tom Siebel;cpos:7;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Tom Siebel<\/a> told me on Yahoo Finance&#8217;s <a data-i13n=\"cpos:8;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/videos\/series\/opening-bid\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:Opening Bid;cpos:8;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Opening Bid<\/a> podcast (video above; listen in below).<\/p>\n<p>Hey Sam Altman, you should watch what Siebel thinks about your latest valuation&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:9;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/HPE\" data-ylk=\"slk:HPE;cpos:9;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">HPE<\/a>) CEO <a data-i13n=\"cpos:10;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/video\/hpe-ceo-points-cyclicality-networking-185929007.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Antonio Neri;cpos:10;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Antonio Neri<\/a> has known Jensen for ages. I didn&#8217;t get the sense Nvidia&#8217;s products were anything but super hot sellers in a chat with him, yours truly, and <a data-i13n=\"cpos:11;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/author\/seana-smith\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:Seana Smith;cpos:11;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Seana Smith<\/a> on Yahoo Finance&#8217;s <a data-i13n=\"cpos:12;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/videos\/series\/catalysts\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:Catalysts;cpos:12;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Catalysts<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When you think about the large-scale [cloud] providers, what they want is to come to market with the latest technologies. And obviously, Blackwell is a key component of that as they go from air-cooled to the liquid cooling, more power density and more performance, and they are on track to do that,&#8221; <a data-i13n=\"cpos:13;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/video\/hpe-positioned-ai-gains-juniper-162652983.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Neri said about Nvidia;cpos:13;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Neri said about Nvidia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><button class=\"link caas-button readmore-button-finance collapse-button readmore-button-class\" data-ylk=\"elm:readmore;slk:Story continues\"><span class=\"readmoreButtonText\">Story continues<\/span><\/button><\/p>\n<p>Speaking of Blackwell \u2014 Nvidia&#8217;s new ultra-high-powered AI chip \u2014 the analyst community feels as if they are readying to jack up their fourth quarter profit forecasts on better-than-expected demand.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We believe demand is outstripping supply for Nvidia 15:1, and the Street is realizing this AI party is still at 9 pm and being led by the Godfather of AI Jensen and Nvidia. TSMC had monster [earnings] numbers, and Blackwell looks like an Aaron Judge debut coming out of the gates,&#8221; Wedbush analyst <a data-i13n=\"cpos:14;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/video\/consumer-ai-revolution-drive-apple-203530210.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Dan Ives;cpos:14;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Dan Ives<\/a> told me.<\/p>\n<p>The JPMorgan team estimates &#8220;several billion dollars&#8221; in Blackwell revenue in Nvidia&#8217;s fourth quarter. Huge if it happens, underscoring the appetite to build out AI infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Believe me, I look at Nvidia very critically, just like all the companies I report on.<\/p>\n<p>But geez, it sure looks as if Nvidia being back in beast mode makes a lot of sense \u2014 as does having a cutout of Jensen at my desk.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jensen is an innovator, great leader, great operator.
