Without evidence, Trump has accused Harris of lying about the experience as a way to improve her working-class credibility.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Trump repeated his unsubstantiated claims Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cIt was a big part of her resume that she worked at McDonald\u2019s \u2014 how tough a job it was,\u201d Trump said at the restaurant in Feasterville, Pennsylvania. \u201cShe \u2026 made the french fries, and she talked about the heat: \u2018It was so tough.\u2019 She\u2019s never worked at McDonald\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Harris spokesperson Ian Sams shot back in a statement to NBC News.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cWhen Trump feels desperate, all he knows how to do is lie,\u201d Sams said. \u201cHe can\u2019t understand what it\u2019s like to have a summer job because he was handed millions on a silver platter, only to blow it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Harris, according to her campaign, worked at a McDonald\u2019s in Alameda, California, during the summer of 1983. She was a student at Howard University at the time and worked the register, as well as the french fry and ice cream machines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The franchise in Feasterville, Pennsylvania, was closed for normal business during Sunday\u2019s visit, and it was not immediately clear how the drive-thru customers served by Trump were selected. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">In a statement, the location\u2019s owner and operator, Derek Giacomantonio, said that he decided to participate in the Trump campaign event because \u201cit is a fundamental value of my organization that we proudly open our doors to everyone who visits the Feasterville community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Trump\u2019s own love of fast food is well documented. He then took a turn at the deep fryer himself, dropping two batches of potatoes into hot oil and waiting for them to cook. He mostly followed instructions, though he forgot to fully drain the oil from one batch and appeared to be more generous with the salt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Trump marveled repeatedly about how the fries are packaged, with the aid of a scooper-like device.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cNever touched by a human hand,\u201d he said at one point. \u201cNice and clean.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Trump then turned his attention to the drive-thru window, filling several orders and chatting with customers as they came by in their cars.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cThis is not a normal situation, is it?\u201d he remarked, before assuring customers they would not have to pay for their food and bragging that he had made their fries himself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cThere will be no charge,\u201d he said. \u201cTrump is paying for it. \u2026 This is all on Trump, am I allowed to do that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Several customers called out Trump\u2019s \u201cMake America Great Again\u201d slogan as they came through the line.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI wouldn\u2019t mind this job,\u201d Trump said. \u201cI like this job. She\u2019s a good worker. That\u2019s the kind of people you want to have.
