You can follow Paul on Twitter @PGutierrezESPN<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>HENDERSON, Nev. &#8212; The <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"b18540eb-6f2b-534c-e7f9-9bd930518da9\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/team\/_\/name\/lv\/las-vegas-raiders\">Las Vegas Raiders<\/a> are signing quarterback <a data-player-guid=\"ebac7142-0cc2-ad3e-968c-f40a12ee68d4\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4239086\/desmond-ridder\">Desmond Ridder<\/a>, a former third-round draft pick, off the <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"8fc7b962-95e1-3cb8-6a7d-b499de9ad546\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/team\/_\/name\/ari\/arizona-cardinals\">Arizona Cardinals<\/a> practice squad, a source confirmed to ESPN on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Ridder, who has an 8-9 record in 19 career games with the <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"49fd392a-86fe-4df3-1b77-9bbfa18b2ad5\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/team\/_\/name\/atl\/atlanta-falcons\">Atlanta Falcons<\/a>, joins the Raiders after starter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4260394\/aidan-oconnell\">Aidan O&#8217;Connell<\/a> broke the thumb on his right (passing) hand in the first quarter of Sunday&#8217;s loss at the <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"2e1473b2-e269-fd7a-1137-c1edacb85986\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/team\/_\/name\/lar\/los-angeles-rams\">Los Angeles Rams<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Connell had replaced a benched <a data-player-guid=\"a64e025b-8608-fd26-e1f8-df83133d7a59\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4038524\/gardner-minshew\">Gardner Minshew<\/a> last week but is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/41924072\/source-raiders-qb-aidan-oconnell-broken-thumb\">expected to miss four to six weeks<\/a>, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline editorial float-r\" data-behavior=\"article_related\">\n<h2 class=\"editorial-title\">Editor&#8217;s Picks<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a name=\"&amp;lpos=story:editorspicks:inline:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/41928351\/antonio-pierce-admits-raiders-not-good-team-right-now\" class=\"img-link\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=\/photo\/2024\/1021\/r1403796_1296x1296_1-1.jpg&amp;w=130&amp;h=130&amp;scale=crop&amp;location=center\" width=\"65\" height=\"65\"\/><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Minshew, after throwing three interceptions and losing a fumble that was returned for a touchdown against the Rams, is tied for the league lead with 10 turnovers, along with <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"0a0aea59-9a5e-01b3-57a3-0151cf4bf393\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/team\/_\/name\/ten\/tennessee-titans\">Tennessee Titans<\/a> quarterback <a data-player-guid=\"31a5ae70-e664-9c6a-ec3e-c407bf56f321\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4361418\/will-levis\">Will Levis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Raiders also have undrafted rookie quarterback Carter Bradley on the practice squad.<\/p>\n<p>Ridder, 25, has passed for 3,544 yards, while completing 64.0% of his throws, with 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 19 games.<\/p>\n<p>He was the No. 74 overall pick of the 2022 draft out of Cincinnati, the second of nine quarterbacks drafted that year, including <a data-player-guid=\"d2e39a38-732d-5a24-f242-a4f9de87dabe\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4361741\/brock-purdy\">Brock Purdy<\/a>, the final pick of that entire draft.
