If the provision expires, the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2024\/10\/12\/trumps-tax-cuts-expire-after-2025.html\"> tax brackets will revert to 2017 levels<\/a>, shifting to 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, 35% and 39.6%.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"ArticleBody-subtitle\"><a id=\"headline1\"\/>Higher standard deduction<\/h2>\n<div class=\"group\">\n<p>The standard deduction will also increase in 2025, rising to $30,000 for married couples filing jointly, up from $29,200 in 2024.
