Apple\u2019s Messages app <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/6\/6\/23750666\/apple-iphone-ios17-communication-safety-nudity-content-protection-minors\">added similar protection with Communication Safety<\/a> starting in iOS 17 after tabling <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/4\/21\/23035183\/ios-messages-communication-safety-nudity-sexually-explicit-message-blurring\">more controversial plans<\/a> for expanded scanning and alerts. The sensitive content warnings will be enabled by default for users under 18.
