{"id":117419,"date":"2024-10-23T11:32:48","date_gmt":"2024-10-23T04:32:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=117419"},"modified":"2024-10-23T11:32:48","modified_gmt":"2024-10-23T04:32:48","slug":"trump-accuses-uks-labour-party-of-foreign-interference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hotvideos24.online\/?p=117419","title":{"rendered":"Trump accuses UK&#8217;s Labour Party of &#8216;foreign interference&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-layout-key=\"-fb+5w+4e-db+86\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3711241968723425\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7910942971\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div data-component=\"text-block\">\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">Donald Trump&#8217;s campaign has filed a Federal Election Commission (FEC) complaint against the UK&#8217;s Labour Party, accusing it of &#8220;blatant foreign interference&#8221; in the US election in aid of the Harris-Walz campaign. <!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The complaint cites media reports about contact between Labour and the Harris campaign as well as apparent volunteering efforts, arguing that this amounts to illegal &#8220;contributions&#8221;. <!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The BBC understands that Labour activists campaigning in the US presidential election are doing so in a personal capacity.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The Labour Party has not issued an official response. <!-- --><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-component=\"text-block\">\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">Specifically, the complaint cites newspaper reporting that Labour-linked individuals have travelled to the US to campaign for Harris. <!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">That reporting, the complaint alleges, creates a &#8220;reasonable inference that the Labour Party has made, and the Harris campaign has accepted, illegal foreign national contributions.&#8221; <!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The letter refers to Washington Post reporting that communications were exchanged between the parties and that senior officials have met in private. <!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">Additionally, the complaint cites a social media post on LinkedIn in which a Labour staff member said that &#8220;nearly 100&#8221; current and former party members will be headed to battleground states in the US. <!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The post, from Labour Party head of operations Sofia Patel, added that 10 &#8220;spots&#8221; are available and that &#8220;we will sort your housing&#8221;.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">It appears to have since been deleted.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The complaint makes comparisons to an international programme in 2016 in which the Australian Labor Party, or ALP, sent delegates to help with Bernie Sanders&#8217; campaign.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">In that instance, however, the ALP paid for flights and daily stipends.
