data-v-438398f6=\"\">&#8220;We realize how critical the Parkway is for our region,&#8221; Blue Ridge Parkway Superintendent Tracy Swartout <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/blri\/learn\/news\/blue-ridge-parkway-reopens-20-miles-near-blowing-rock-north-carolina-on-wednesday-oct-23.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said in a statement<\/a>. &#8220;While much work remains, we are prioritizing our efforts in less-damaged areas that have the most impact for community connectivity, and that we are able to reopen safely.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Swartout said additional sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway are anticipated to be reopened in adjoining communities &#8220;soon.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">The opened section of the Blue Ridge Parkway now provides improved <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/category\/transportation\" target=\"_blank\" said commercial vehicles are prohibited due to the narrow, two-lane road that is filled with shifting grades, curves and limited sight differences.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">There are also no truck lanes, runaway truck ramps or places for large commercial vehicles to slow down and pull over.<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Commercial vehicles that violate those restrictions will be subject
