The number of satellites on this mission was not disclosed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The NRO is working to rapidly deploy a new network of satellites designed to <a href=\"https:\/\/spacenews.com\/director-chris-scolese-said-the-nro-and-dod-are-resolving-data-integration-issues-as-more-satellites-are-deployed\/\">track ground targets in near real time<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Following stage separation, the Falcon 9\u2019s first stage landed on a drone ship stationed in the Pacific Ocean.<\/p>\n<p>The NRO designs and operates classified U.S. government surveillance and intelligence satellites.
