However, when constantly met with specific and specialized requests to do certain things, it can become overwhelming and frustrating. <\/p>\n<p>In the restaurant industry, where food tastes are as varied and sometimes complicated as a menu, the barrage of \u201cCan I?\u201d and \u201cWould you be able to?\u201d can drive even the most levelheaded of servers up the wall.<\/p>\n<p>One Chili\u2019s server is advising customers to stay away from making certain requests, as they might be a little much for the fast-casual restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>In a video that has drawn over 27,000 views and counting, user @kat.maitre jokes that asking for lemon, or to have a steak prepared a certain way, might not be the best decision at Chili\u2019s. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-chili-s-psa\">A Chili\u2019s PSA<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t care if I get fired for this, there\u2019s no way I would, but if any of my managers are watching this, keep scrolling,\u201d they say in the video. \u201cThere\u2019s a few things that different people who\u2014different customers have said to me that make me think, like, \u2018Girl, you\u2019re at a Chili\u2019s.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They say the first one is asking for lemon in your water. \u201cThis is a Chili\u2019s,\u201d the TikToker says. \u201cIt\u2019s not going to make the water better, and it\u2019s not going to make the cup clean. <\/p>\n<p>The second one is asking for your steak to be butterflied. \u201cAm I saying it right? I don\u2019t know what that is,\u201d Kat says. \u201cYou\u2019re at a Chili\u2019s. It\u2019s a nicety. This is me being polite. You\u2019re going to get what you get. It will either be bleeding or overdone. Just\u2014why are you getting a steak here?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last but not least is whenever a customer informs them the bathroom is dirty. \u201cYou\u2019re telling me the bathroom\u2019s dirty? What isn\u2019t? This is a Chili\u2019s,\u201d they repeat. \u201cSo many times a day I just want to say, hey, you\u2019re at Chili\u2019s. Guess where you are, you\u2019re at Chili\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Dot has reached out to Kat via TikTok direct message regarding the video, as well as to Chili\u2019s via email.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-server-psas\">Server PSAs<\/h2>\n<p>This is not the first time a server has advised customers against ordering lemons for their water, albeit for very different reasons. Previously, another poster suggested that viewers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailydot.com\/news\/restaurant-lemon-in-water-warning\/\">avoid asking for lemons to go with their waters<\/a>, as the lemons are very likely to be touched by ungloved and unwashed hands in the rush of things, no matter how often someone might be washing their hands.<\/p>\n<p>Another consideration the poster mentions is that lemons are infrequently washed\u2014at least in their experience\u2014before being cut into wedges and served to customers. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-viewers-weigh-in\">Viewers weigh in<\/h2>\n<p>Some viewers shared their own experiences of customers expecting a little too much out of casual dining. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I worked at Olive Garden and people would ask me if the salmon was free range,\u201d one user wrote. \u201cMa\u2019am it\u2019s frozen in the back idfk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI worked at applebees for 3 years,\u201d another said. \u201cPeople would ask for things and I\u2019m like\u2026.do you know where you\u2019re at rn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI work at a pizza spot in a tourist head area\u2026 and people act like we\u2019re fine dining\u2026\u2019what do you recommend,\u2019 b*tch it\u2019s pizza what do you want on there,\u201d yet another shared.<\/p>\n<p>Others were quick to point out that they\u2019re not asking for lemon because they think it will have a grand effect on their experience or cleanse anything\u2014they simply like lemon in their water. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cLmao lemon isn\u2019t to be fancy,\u201d a commenter wrote. \u201cIt does add flavor. I hate restaurant water and it does mask the water, if it\u2019s real bad you just need to add more lemon.
