No, not me, b***h.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The same photographer appeared to be working while Roan, real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/voices\/chappell-roan-fame-stalking-harrassment-fans-instagram-post-b2602403.html\">walking the red carpet for the premiere<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/olivia-rodrigo\">Olivia Rodrigo<\/a>\u2019s tour movie, <em>GUTS<\/em>, on Friday night (25 October).<\/p>\n<p>In a clip shared online, Roan is seen posing on the red carpet before she points directly at one photographer, approaches them and says, \u201cYou were so disrespectful to me at the VMAs\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou yelled at me at the VMAs. Yes, you did. I remember. You were so rude to me. And I deserve an apology for that. You need to apologise to me,\u201d Roan said.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear from the video whether the photographer apologised to Roan, but another person could be seen attempting to intervene before the clip ended.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DBkZbPTvI_3\/embed\/captioned\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowtransparency=\"true\" class=\"sc-1qbn810-1 dFbQfS\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Friday\u2019s incident comes one month after Roan cancelled scheduled dates at festivals in New York and Columbia in September, telling her fans that fame had become \u201coverwhelming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about why she initially snapped at the photographer in September, Roan told <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/etnow\/status\/1834009376996425994\"><em>Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a>: \u201cI think for someone who gets a lot of anxiety around people yelling at you \u2026 the carpet is horrifying, and I yelled back. You don\u2019t get to yell at me like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added that she finds the environment of the red carpet events \u201coverwhelming and quite scary\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In August, the singer hinted she had been left uncomfortable by fandom culture, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/tv\/news\/maya-rudolph-chappell-roan-tiktok-b2612442.html\">called out invasive fan behaviour<\/a> in a statement: \u201cPlease stop touching me. Please stop being weird to my family and friends. I went to a psychiatrist last week because I was like, I don\u2019t know what\u2019s going on. She diagnosed me with severe depression \u2013 which I didn\u2019t think I had because I\u2019m not actually sad,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I have every symptom of someone who\u2019s severely depressed,\u201d she said, pointing towards symptoms of brain fog, poor focus and \u201ca very lacklustre viewpoint\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Roan explained that she thinks her mental health has been impacted because her \u201cwhole life has changed\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m very turned off by the celebrity of it all,\u201d said Roan. \u201cSome girls have been in this so long that they\u2019re used to that, but I\u2019m not that girl. I\u2019m not gonna be a sweetie pie to a man who\u2019s telling me to shut the f*** up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added that she was warned by people in the music industry that fame feels like \u201cgoing through puberty again\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>She continued: \u201cMy body does feel different. It\u2019s holding tension in a very different way: I have all these new emotions and I\u2019m really confused. It\u2019s how it felt to be 12.
