court after a judge slapped down federal agents suspected of leaking information in his <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/09\/17\/us-news\/sean-diddy-combs-charged-in-sex-trafficking-probe\/\">sex trafficking case.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Diddy\u2019s lawyers had asked for a gag order on the feds <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/10\/25\/us-news\/diddy-mixed-a-list-parties-with-freak-off-sex-shows-tapes\/\">after The Post detailed <\/a>the embattled musician\u2019s depraved alleged \u201cFreak Offs\u201d and quoted a federal law enforcement source involved in the probe who called the orgies \u201csick s\u2013t.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In response, Manhattan federal judge Arun Subramanian issued an order late Friday warning federal prosecutors and other law enforcement officials working on the case to follow existing laws barring them from releasing any grand jury information or other non-public information that could impact a fair trial.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>A judge has issued a gag order to federal prosecutors and agents in Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs\u2019 sex trafficking case. <span class=\"credit\">REUTERS\/Jane Rosenberg<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Judge Arun Subramanian wrote that the order is to ensure that nothing interferes with Combs having a fair trial. <span class=\"credit\">REUTERS\/Jane Rosenberg<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThose remarks, if made by an agent involved in the investigation or prosecution of this case, are plainly improper,\u201d Subramanian wrote.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cTo be clear, this order isn\u2019t based on a finding that there has been any wrongdoing thus far, as the court has made no findings at this juncture relating to [Diddy\u2019s] allegations that information related to the case has been leaked,\u201d Subramanian added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe point of this order is to help ensure that nothing happens from now on that would interfere with a fair trial.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Court will take appropriate action for any violation of the rules,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The gag order request from Combs\u2019 lawyers comes after The Post quoted a law enforcement official in a report about his alleged \u201cFreak Offs.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Willy Sanjuan\/Invision\/AP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Earlier this month, Diddy\u2019s lawyers <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/10\/09\/us-news\/sean-diddy-combs-accuses-feds-of-leaking-2016-video-of-cassie-ventura-beating\/\">requested a hearing<\/a> in the case over allegations that the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/03\/25\/us-news\/diddys-la-miami-homes-raided-by-federal-agents-as-part-of-sex-trafficking-probe-report\/\">Department of Homeland Security agents<\/a> leaked damning 2016 footage showing Diddy <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/05\/17\/us-news\/video-of-sean-diddy-combs-beating-then-girlfriend-cassie-ventura-in-2016-released\/\">beating his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura<\/a> in a hotel hallway.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The hearing, which is still pending, sought to bar the feds from improperly sharing any additional information from the criminal case with the press.<\/p>\n<p>Combs is facing racketeering and sex trafficking charges over allegations that he ran his record label Bad Boys Records like a \u201ccriminal enterprise\u201d for more than a decade.<\/p>\n<p>The rapper, who is currently locked up in federal detention in Brooklyn, has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.<\/p>\n<p>Diddy\u2019s legal team and an SDNY spokesperson
