Combs\u2019 gag order proposal\u00a0to prevent government officials from leaking information to the media as he remains behind bars on sex trafficking and racketeering charges,\u00a0but nevertheless adopted a gag order similar to that requested by Combs. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, Judge\u00a0Arun Subramanian responded to the request filed by the disgraced rapper\u2019s legal team, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.<\/p>\n<p>Although\u00a0Subramanian\u00a0refused to adopt the order proposed by Combs\u2019 team,\u00a0he still adopted an order, insisting\u00a0that federal agents, investigators and the rapper\u2019s team must follow the laws forbidding them from leaking grand jury proceedings that can meddle with a fair trial. <\/p>\n<figure size-large\"><figcaption>According to documents obtained by Page Six, New York Judge Arun Subramanian adopted a gag order similar to that requested by the rapper\u2019s legal team. <span isn\u2019t based on a finding that there has been any wrongdoing thus far, as the Court has made no findings at this juncture relating to defendant\u2019s allegations that information related to the case has been leaked,\u201d he wrote on Friday. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe point of this order is to help ensure that nothing happens from now on that would interfere with a fair trial.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Subramanian continued, \u201cThe Court will take appropriate action for any violation of the rules.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Combs\u2019 legal team declined to comment when contacted by href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/10\/09\/celebrity-news\/sean-diddy-combs-claims-feds-leaked-video-of-him-assaulting-cassie\/\">accused the feds of leaking security footage<\/a> of him <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/05\/17\/celebrity-news\/surveillance-video-shows-sean-diddy-combs-beating-singer-cassie\/\">abusing ex-girlfriend Casandra \u201cCassie\u201d Ventura<\/a>\u00a0to the press earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Documents obtained by Page Six revealed Combs\u2019 team alleged earlier this month that government agents gave the video to CNN in May\u00a0in a bid to \u201cmortally wound the reputation and the prospect of Sean Combs successfully defending himself against these allegations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRather than using the videotape as trial evidence, alongside other evidence that gives it context and<br \/>meaning, the agents misused it in the most prejudicial and damaging way possible,\u201d\u00a0the docs read.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>They alleged the feds leaked a 2016 security clip of Combs abusing his ex Casandra \u201cCassie\u201d Ventura, seen here in 2018. <span gruesome video showed the Bad Boy Records founder kicking, pulling and dragging Ventura, whom he <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/entertainment\/sean-diddy-combs-cassie-relationship-timeline\/\">dated\u00a0on and off from 2007 to 2018,<\/a> at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Calif., in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The feds, however, denied leaking the clip, telling the judge via a letter, \u201cThe Government was not in possession of the video before its publication by CNN.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is thus no colorable factual basis for the defendant\u2019s claim that the Government leaked the video to CNN, let alone that it was leaked \u2018in violation of grand jury secrecy,&#8217;\u201d the letter continued.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The video was not related to Combs\u2019 arrest last month. <span href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/10\/09\/celebrity-news\/sean-diddy-combs-claims-feds-leaked-video-of-him-assaulting-cassie\/\">apologized about the disturbing video<\/a>, which isn\u2019t related to his current charges, via social media, describing his behavior as \u201cf\u2013ked up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cLast Night\u201d crooner was <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/09\/16\/celebrity-news\/sean-diddy-combs-arrested-in-nyc\/\">arrested on Sept. 16<\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/09\/17\/celebrity-news\/sean-diddy-combs-charged-with-sex-trafficking-racketeering\/\">charged with racketeering,<\/a> sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.<\/p>\n<p>He is currently awaiting trial at a Brooklyn, NY, detention center.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async
