going on a rampage with a shovel after he busted his wife having sex with his brother in the back of a car \u2014 while his mom sat in the front.<\/p>\n<p>David McCulloch, 41, pleaded guilty last week to the violent attack after catching the duo romping in the vehicle in Tasmania in March, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theadvocate.com.au\/story\/8799308\/david-mcculloch-sentenced-to-jail-for-shovel-attack-on-brother\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Advocate reported<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The bizarre ordeal unfolded when a suspicious McCulloch tracked down his spouse, Jacinta King, after she failed to answer her phone multiple times, the Burnie Supreme Court heard during his sentencing hearing.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>David McCulloch, 41, pleaded guilty last week to the violent attack after wife of six years, with whom he also shares four kids, in the back of the vehicle with his brother, Jamie McCulloch, in a parking lot close to his sibling\u2019s apartment building. <\/p>\n<p>Shockingly, his own mother was sitting unperturbed in the driver\u2019s seat when the pair were caught in the raunchy act, the court heard. <\/p>\n<p>An enraged McCulloch\u00a0immediately started punching his brother in the chest and body before repeatedly striking his wife in the head. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The jilted husband then grabbed a shovel from his car and started beating the pair with it as he shouted he was going to \u201ckill them all.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>At one point, McCulloch\u00a0smashed the shovel so hard, it broke in two, the court heard.<\/p>\n<p>His mom tried to intervene but ended up being pushed into a nearby trash can.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>He ended up discovering his wife in the back of the vehicle with his brother, Jamie McCulloch, in a parking lot close to his sibling\u2019s apartment building.  <span class=\"credit\">Red Mcculloch \/ Facebook<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>McCulloch\u2019s wife and brother were both hospitalized with minor injuries from the attack. <\/p>\n<p>During his sentencing last week, the judge acknowledged that the saga \u201cmust have been upsetting\u201d for McCulloch and described it as a \u201cbreach of trust\u201d\u00a0between family members.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI accept it was an emotive response to the circumstances you discovered,\u201d Justice Tamara Jago said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>McCulloch\u2019s mother was discovered sitting in the front seat during the ordeal. <span class=\"credit\">Sue Mcculloch \/ Facebook<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>McCulloch ended up pleading guilty to a slew of assault charges, as well as possessing cannabis and possessing a firearm and ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>He was sentenced to three years in prison.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async
