I always talk about <span class=\"LinkEnhancement\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/42059942\/cowboys-mccarthy-diggs-better-reporter-incident\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">staying on a high road<\/a><\/span>,\u201d McCarthy said, via Todd Archer of ESPN. \u201cThat\u2019s part of our responsibility in this business. But I\u2019m not ignorant or naive to the fact that this generation, that\u2019s part of the world they live in, the social media world. You have to manage that. That\u2019s part of being a professional athlete and that\u2019s part of representing this organization properly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leslie replied to a post showing Diggs\u2019 tracking 49ers tight end George Kittle, eventually pushing him out of bounds after a long gain. The reporter appeared to be questioning Diggs\u2019 effort, writing, \u201cWhat is Trevon Diggs doing on this play?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s what you took from that?\u201d Diggs asked Leslie while reporters were outside the locker room waiting for it to open. \u201cOut of that whole play, that\u2019s what you took from that? You don\u2019t know football. You can\u2019t do nothing that I do. You can\u2019t go out there and do nothing. Stay in your lane, buddy.
