Of the 57 restaurants recognized in this year\u2019s guide, Staplehouse and Spring earned one star, while Atlas and Lazy Betty retained their one star. Restaurants like Whoopsie\u2019s and Superica were named new Bib Gourmands.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Michelin also expanded the guide in 2024 to feature metro Atlanta restaurants outside the perimeter, including  Table &amp; Main and Masterpiece. <\/p>\n<p>This year marks the city\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/roughdraftatlanta.com\/2024\/10\/08\/atlanta-michelin-dining-guide-ceremony-october-28-2024\/\">second dining guide<\/a> from the French tire company, which awards coveted stars, Bib Gourmands, and other distinctions to restaurants in cities worldwide. Single-star ratings began in 1926, followed by two- and three-star ratings in 1936.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-the-guide-ratings-work\"><strong>How the guide ratings work<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Anonymous inspectors working for Michelin dine at restaurants multiple times a year, awarding their final recommendations for stars, Bib Gourmands, and other distinctions at a reveal ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>Starred restaurants must consistently meet the following five criteria during each inspector visit: Showcasing quality products and ingredients; harmony of flavors; mastery of cooking techniques; voice and personality of the chef reflected in the cuisine; and consistency of food and service.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/guide.michelin.com\/th\/en\/restaurants\/1-star-michelin\">One star<\/a>: A restaurant includes high-quality cooking and is worthy of a stop.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/guide.michelin.com\/th\/en\/restaurants\/2-stars-michelin\">Two stars<\/a>: A restaurant excels at cooking and people visiting a city should prioritize a meal here.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/guide.michelin.com\/th\/en\/restaurants\/3-stars-michelin\">Three stars<\/a>: A restaurant showcases exceptional food and service and people visiting a city should add it to their plans.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/guide.michelin.com\/th\/en\/restaurants\/bib-gourmand\/sustainable_gastronomy\">Bib Gourmand<\/a>: A restaurant that serves high-quality food at a reasonable price.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/guide.michelin.com\/th\/en\/restaurants\/sustainable_gastronomy\">Green star<\/a>: A restaurant prioritizes sustainability and environmentally friendly practices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recommended<\/strong>: A restaurant hasn\u2019t achieved star or Bib Gourmand status but is still worthy of recognition in the guide.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-u-s-cities-and-states-with-michelin-guides\"><strong>U.S. cities and states with Michelin guides<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Michelin features guides in the United States for New York City, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Chicago, Florida, California, and Colorado.
